So...

can anyone confirm which soundtrack they're using this year ?

I've heard both sources telling me different things about the music. One said we're getting last year's, the other said the original score.

What does it mean by haunting entertainment? Is the parked closed early and entry is only with a special pass for the night of the event? I've never been to one of these events and I would like a personal opion on how they are presented. Thank You All :D

I think it means they're hedging their bets this year and not committing to anything in case it falls through, which I can kind of understand on their part, but which unfortunately probably makes it difficult for people to decide whether it's worth the price to go.

In case it helps, I've posted about both the 2001 event (http://www.colddeadfish.net/mansionholiday.html/) and the 2002 event (http://www.colddeadfish.net/hmhevent2002.html/) which has information about what happened. We went under a different package the second time so there's information about both of the two lower tiers of packages available.

Here (http://www.mouseplanet.com/merchandise/mer021004.htm) is a link to an article written by AVP about last years merchandise. In the article are links to articles written by Sue Kruse about the event.

Is it just me or is that a ridiculous markup between the last two - over a mere Blue Bayou dinner. Feh! Not my money.

I'm so excited!

I'm going for it this year...dinner package for sure....maybe more....hee!

Can someone confirm my concern? Is the only difference between Package A and Package B, the Club 33 lunch?

If so, that's a big difference!

I just don't get it. And The Mouse has his hand in my pocket all the time. No problem.

$69 basically gets you the opportunity to buy collectables that will all be on eBay the next day?

$200 to just add a dinner at Blue Bayou?

I *love* the Haunted Mansion, and I really like The Nightmare Before Christmas, but I just don't see the value here.

It's just a matter of perception and taste.

I would hope that anyone who thinks it's not worth the price (whichever package) wouldn't pay the cost to go.

cstephens,

I agree. The fact of the matter is that I can enjoy an incredible dining experience for *two* at the Napa Rose for the same amount as *one* Blue Bayou dinner package for this event. While I love the Blue Bayou, comparing it to Napa Rose is impossible.

I do think it's cool that they do these events, I just don't agree with the pricing, which is probably a good thing for the people that are going as it will limit the number of people wanting to go and make tickets easier to get.

I agree, don't go. Too much money, not worth the value. Don't go. Go to Napa Rose. Don't go. Don't spend the money!

The more of you that don't go the better chance I have. :~D

The big difference between package A & B is ...

With package A you not only get to have lunch in Club 33
but the night before you have dinner inside the Haunted Mansion!

According to the website, package A and package C are sold out. Package B and package D are still available.
