Disney has more sweet treat options for more major holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, but they do special treats all year long for other holidays too. I figured I'd start a thread for all the smaller ones rather than have multiple individual threads.

These are all for Valentine's Day.

Many of the cupcakes have tiny heart candy confetti.

I saw that you posted these on Twitter. Did you try any of these or just take pictures? I am going down next week and wonder if I might try one of these. They look pretty sweet to me. I might be open to a cupcake.

there was also a heart-shaped bright red sugar cookie at Market House on Main St.

Nope, didn't try. I usually just take pictures. These were taken at Marceline's, but Marceline's usually has what the other bakeries in the parks have too.

There's not many of them I'm actually interested in eating. I'm too busy being obsessed with the mini-cupcakes sampler.

Thanks for the pics. I will check them out. We plan on hanging out at DTD the first night we are there. Hopefully Marcelines will be open after WoC. If not I will check out the treats in the parks. I will probably post my pics on FB while I am there and then post them here when I get home.

Yesterday, at the Candy Palace, I saw these cookies for the Super Bowl and Valentine's Day.

I saw those. I never did see the cupcakes. I just got the Mickey Apple. I was there yesterday too. Got there for early entry at 8 am and stayed until about noon, and then went over to CA until Supershuttle picked us up. Weather was just perfect, wasn't it?

OK, this thread is a little old, but it doesn't seem worth starting a whole new thread.

For Independence day, the Disneyland Resort has apples decorated as flags.

They also have dipped marshmallows with the flag design.

And this isn't a "holiday" treat, but I wanted to mention it because I so want to try it. Because, you know, a brownie isn't enough, so let's add, oh, I don't know, OREOS to it!

http://www.colddeadfish.net/images/DLR2/oreobrownie.jpg

They're $4 and are available at the new Dulce Aventura at Pacific Wharf (it's where the old fortune cookie window was) and they're also available at the sweets shop at the front of DCA. I didn't see them at Disneyland, but I'm presuming they're available somewhere there as well.

Oh, and Dulce Aventura and the DCA sweets shop both also had a spicy peanut caramel apple and spicy peanut brittle, flavored with chilis.

We were at Disneyland on Saturday and saw some new treats!

http://www.colddeadfish.net/images/DLR2/mickeycakepops.jpg

I wouldn't have thought these were any different than the normal Mickey-shaped treats they have if not for the sign. I'm also used to cake pops being round, but I guess it makes sense for them to be Mickey-shaped, given where they're sold. Don't know what they taste like or what flavor cake they are.

Disney has been doing all kinds of themed apples, so I guess it's not surprising they've moved into doing more characters than just Mickey and Minnie and Jack Skellington. These Belle apples were actually quite pretty - I'm not sure I'd actually be able to bring myself to eating one for that reason. They're a bit more expensive than normal apples - the other ones that we saw were $9 - but I expect they figure they can charge a premium price for something like this. I'm figuring they'll be making apples themed to other princesses as well. Doing character apples of boys would work too - maybe Woody or Buzz. But how about some villain apples? That would be REALLY cool.

Thanks for posting new pictures! Those cake-pops look super cute.

I hope they do other character apples, the Belle looked beautiful! Doing some Villain themed ones would be fun for HalloweenTime.

I saw the Belle apple, but I didn't see the cake pop! Where'd you find that?

In the sweets case near Coke Corner, right next to where the cupcakes are.

Oh, I will have to try that. i occasionally make cake pops, i'd like to see Disneyland's take on them. I'm contemplating going to pick up a Belle apple to take with me, when I go to see Beauty and the Beast at El Capitan, it's just so expensive though!

Thanks for the great photos. I love looking at the goodies in the bakeries. Our favorite is carmel and chocolate covered marshmellows plus the rice crispy treats. Yummy!!

cstephens - You are the one person I think might have the answer. I was able to acquire the R2D2 popcorn buckets, but I forgot about the cup. Do you know if they still have the dessert cups?

Sorry, I don't. The only place I know they had them was at Pizza Port, and I haven't eaten there in a while. It'll be 2 weeks before I get a chance to go back to the park, and you'll be there before me, so I'd suggest checking there. I hadn't heard that the dessert cups would be limited, just as I don't believe the popcorn buckets are limited, so hopefully, they'll still have them at Pizza Port.

Oh I sooooo have to get back there soon...not just about the treats, but man these look so wonderful (I suspect most would 'sweet' me out too much though). Really need to figure out a way...

We got our R2D2 dessert stein at Tomorrowland Terrace on August 10. It's displayed behind the counter there. You order the R2D2 chocolate parfait. The parfait comes in its own cup as usual and you get the stein separate and still wrapped in plastic. The kids wanted something R2D2 and the chocolate parfait was on my list of overlooked treats I'd been wanting to try, so it was a perfect time to try it out. We thought the stein was cute and seemed like a bit better value than the popcorn bucket. Plus, your AP discount works at Tomorrowland Terrace. I remember reading on the MousePlanet update, I think, that the steins would also be available at Pizza Port, but we skipped PP this last trip to try out the new DCA pizza and pasta place, so I didn't confirm if the steins were still at PP.

Pumpkin muffins are back at the Blue Ribbon Bakery. Too bad they still have raisins, though!

^ I think the pumpkin muffins have nuts too! I am bummed because I LOVE all things pumpkin, but I can't have nuts. Not a huge fan of raisins either. I am hoping for some fun yummy Fall treats this trip :)!
