I have never seen anyone flash the camera or the crowd watching the plunge on Splash Mountain, but am of course aware of it happening. How often does it happen? Has anyone ever witnessed it? Are there penalties for those who do it if they are caught, such as ejection from the park?

It's happened enough to have a web-site about it - but I'm not going to post the link (in respect to the family content of the boards).

about a month ago, my kids, and my friend Andrew, his girlfriend and myself were going up the main conveyor belt toward the briar patch drop and halfway up, the car infront of us was about to drop, when the ride stopped and a voice came over the PA and said "PUT YOUR SHIRT DOWN!" then after a minute the ride resumed. When we docked the log ahead of us was filled with 16 year old girls..

I saw a group of girls on a log in front of me get escorted away by Security. This is no laughing matter, it is against the rules. Also, your picture gets magically "washed away" ;)

A few years ago when I was in a group of about 4 friends, and there were two random guys in the back, and one took off his shirt and swung it around his head.... they wouldn't let us see the picture.

A friend of mine (who's acrophobic and won't ride Splash) saw some guy manage to drop his pants, turn around, and moon the camera on the way down.

Just to be clear. My added perk comment was first of all in jest, and secondly no one had mentioned 16-year-old girls at the time of the posting only flashing in general which I assumed was being done by adults.

Last time I went to DL, we were walking over to Pooh. Well, as we went over the bridge into CC, a girl flashed going down. Well, she thought it was funny to take off her WHOLE shirt. Guess what happened. She DROPPED it! Her shirt fell back onto a rock next to the flume! Think how embarrising it was entering the station

Like he said, the fact that they were 16 was not told before he posted. :)

Let us not forget, although looks and actions might seem to be screaming 'we are 16' - unless there was actual age info known they may have been young college age (18 to 20-ish), acting younger.

Maybe, maybe not.?!

only a true dork would create a web site about girls flashing on splash mountain. I mean come on how lame is that.

In my opinion: I wouldn't even call them Disney Fans. Why? They are exposing un-disney like things to families. I find it disturbing, and don't call them "fans" at all. It's sick, very sick.

It is a real stupid idea for a website. It just goes to show that there can be a website about anything.

If you look in the UnOfficial Guide to Disneyland, a popular Disney guidebook, it lists Flash Mountain as an attraction! It is so funny :D !

It does happen a lot. I work in security and a couple of years ago they would always call us to speak with the guest, but there isn't really a penalty other than a lecture at best. Now security is rarely called out. The photo company keeps the photos and I think passes them on to security in the event of repeat offenders. All the photos posted on websites are guests who take photos as opposed to the ones you can purchase after the ride. And for the record with my experience, it's mostly not teenagers or young people, when I was called out it was mostly foreigners who don't have as much of a problem with nudity as we do here.

So does that mean we get the armpit hair, too? Yuck!

I never forget one time, when the person in the log in front of our log flashed. (about 3 moths ago)

Voice From Above: "Thank you. Security will be waiting as you exit." :)

In 2000 or 2001 Splash converted to an image capture system (used on Space and Screamin from their beginning) that permanently deletes photos so that they can't be viewed or printed once "Delete" is clicked. So even if security were to be called for such a situation, there would be no proof that anyone was guilty of anything.
Also, there is no "photo company" anymore for these three image captures. They're all run by Disney CMs, although the imaging software and equipment is still provided by Kodak.
