Can anyone tell me when the Christmas tree will be up in Main St? My family and I are going next Wed and if we could take our Christmas picture, that would be great!

Thanks :)

My guess is that the tree will be up before then though. Wednesday might not be out of the realm of possibility. I'll cross my fingers for you, minnie+mickey!

The Tree is pretty much decked out and ready to be rolled out to Main St. We caught a good glimpse of it today on a backstage area or so while on the tram from M&F lot to the Downtown Disney area.

Thanks for the update JunJunM3........let's roll it out now! :)Actually, it will have to be dismantled and reassembled. But that won't happen til after they finish taping the parade. Rumor has it going up Tues night or Wed night. Its not quite as simple as "roll it out."

we are also going to be there on that wed. could not change the date to the 12 after we found out that christmas was going up two days later. also hoping that it will go up early. on the up side we won tickets to a private party the following week to kick off the holiday season. it is from a local radio station so we will get to see the decor afterall.

You know, I was wondering. With all the Christmas decorations up, does Disneyland do any Hanukkah decorations, like a window display or something? Just curious.

In the past, I belive they've had a Menorah in the window of the building on Main Street that has the door frame thingy (sorry, don't recall what it's called). But it might just be during the actual holiday. OBVIOUSLY, I don't know much about Judiasm, but I thought Hanukkah was a very minor holiday.

They also do a pin releases for Hanukkah.

In Judaism, it is supposed to be a minor holiday. But it has become a much more prominent holiday. It's just when you are bombarded with Christmas stuff, you just want to see a little bit of Chanukkah decorations. It was nice to be in Israel for Chanukkah in December 2005. Obviously there are Christians in Israel, but since they are in the minority, We saw a lot more Menorahs than Christmas Trees. A Mezzuzah is a pemanent fixture on a Jewish Person's home/business. But nice to know they have menorah in a window.

Well that makes sense for a Mezzuzah! I will keep a look out for the Hanukkah pins, as I would enjoy that.

They sell decorations, and there's a small section in the holiday fireworks show.

I just found this pin (http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/pin?id=53824) listed online, which is a different one than this one (http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/pin?id=53480) that I bought last weekend.

Soo cool! Thanks. And thanks Cstephens. Next year I have to figure out a budget to go for Halloween and during the Christmas season. I just saw the latest Disneyland commercial for the holidays with It's a Small World.
