On FB some people were wondering if they were bringing back the Annual Passholders party.

If history is any indication, the secret announcement will be an opportunity to spend more money on merchandise. :|

Hey, I can do that now, without an Annual Passholder's exclusive invitation! :eyeroll:

I'm curious about the announcement. I think it might be another members only sale.

I think it will be on FB and on their Twitter. Hopefully soon, I'm finding it rather distracting to wait!

http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2010/09/special-world-of-color-shows-for-annual-passholders/

We’ve added two performances of “World of Color,” (http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneys-california-adventure/world-of-color/?int_cmp=SOC-intDPFY10Q3WOC13-09-10@0001) just for annual passholders this week. Annual passholders have a unique opportunity to see the nighttime water spectacular at Disney California Adventure park (http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneys-california-adventure/?int_cmp=SOC-intDPFY10Q3WOC13-09-10@0002) at 9:15 p.m. on September 15 and 16. Guests who are not annual passholders can still see the regularly scheduled show at 8:15 p.m. on both nights.
We heard from a lot of annual passholders that it’s difficult to visit the Park in the mornings and obtain a Disney FASTPASS (http://disneyland.disney.go.com/plan/guest-services/fastpass/?int_cmp=SOC-intDPFY10Q3WOC13-09-10@0005) ticket, so this is a special opportunity just for annual passholders.
Here are the details:

Disney FASTPASS ticket distribution will begin at 5 p.m. at the Grizzly River Run (http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneys-california-adventure/grizzly-river-run/?int_cmp=SOC-intDPFY10Q3WOC13-09-10@0003) FASTPASS location.
A valid Annual Passport must be presented to obtain a Disney FASTPASS ticket.
Disney FASTPASS tickets are limited and are subject to availability.
Annual passholders with a Disney FASTPASS ticket need to be in Disney California Adventure park prior to park close at 8:00 p.m. on the day of show and will need to queue beginning at 8:45 p.m.
In addition to a special showing of “World of Color,” passholders will have the following attractions available to them from 8 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.:

Soarin’ Over California (http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneys-california-adventure/soarin/?int_cmp=SOC-intDPFY10Q3WOC13-09-10@0005)
Mulholland’s Madness (http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneys-california-adventure/mulholland-madness/?int_cmp=SOC-intDPFY10Q3WOC13-09-10@0006)
Flik’s Fun Fair
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneys-california-adventure/twilight-zone-tower-of-terror/?int_cmp=SOC-intDPFY10Q3WOC13-09-10@0007)

Annual Passholders without a FASTPASS ticket will be accommodated if space is still available in the alternate viewing area.

Enjoy the show!

of course they do it the two days before im going to the Parks....sounds great for locals who can just go there....for a lot of APs we only have time on weekends to go most of the time

I am sorry, but this news sucks Not all Annual Passholders can just get to California Adventure in just a few days notice. I wish the news had been something ALL Annual passholders could have enjoyed. But that is just my opinion.

I'm an AP that lives in SoCal (with a Deluxe pass) and even more ironically, I have already purchased a picnic for Wed. night (the 15th). Awesome.

Yes, there are advantages to living locally. That's just how it works.

Personally, I think people were hyping up the news way too much. I think this is cool for a lot of people.

I have neither a current AP, nor a trip planned, but I think it is cool for just the reason DL announced for the event. Local AP's who like to pop in after work or whatever, who can't get a fastpass in the morning. If you are traveling to DL with your AP, you are very likely to be able to get a FP in the morning.

No offense but I personally think it's dumb! So you and a million other AP's can try to see the show while fighting for a place to stand.

How about something all of us can actually use? All that hype for this?

at almost a million passholders that's hard to do for all. I guess maybe they would try to get most to see the show - and even then not all folks who have yet to see the show locally will make it. 5pm is still early, people still work...
