wow - I'm kind of underwhelmed. I guess some of this is holdover from June - and has been published a lot by their own blogs...

Do you think the purchase-with-purchase items will still be available in September?

When I read DL's tweet yesterday morning about the new sweet treats, I was sad there were no pictures included.

The peppermint and butterscotch candy sticks sounded good, so I definitely wanted to look for those. I don't know if they still have them, but I remembered loving the different flavoured candy sticks that See's Candies had. That was sort of what I was expecting. Wow was I wrong. These candy sticks were HUGE - here's a picture compared to caramel apples to give you an idea of their size.

I didn't end up buying any because of their size - it's a lot of candy and managing eating it in bits over the course of however long it would take was more work than I was willing to expend.

They had the candy sticks in some candy containers, and they barely fit in there, but I thought it was funny to see.

But the major item that had caught my attention was the key lime tart, since I love key lime pie. These looked really good.

It's weird with the shavings on top because they totally look like cheese shavings to me, which would be weird on a key lime tart. The only thing they could have been was white chocolate shavings, and the CM confirmed that's what they were. I've never had key lime pie with that much chocolate on top, so I thought that was weird - maybe a couple small twists or something, but there's almost more chocolate there than anything else. I'm also not a fan of white chocolate, but the shavings will be easy enough to just pull off. I'm thinking of trying a tart on Sunday.
