To put it very simply, in most photos there are some parts of the picture that are underexposed, some just right and some overexposed. So, if you take three shots of the same thing (bracketing), one underexposed, one normal and one overexposed and use software to combine the best parts of each then you get a better picture. A lot more to it than that, but that's the basic idea. Google HDR Photography for more info. (I only learned about it after seeing his pictures)

Your World of Color Shots are soooooo colorful but I still think your picture of from the Lobby of Lincoln is my favorite.

I LOVE those pics! I think I need to get some lessons in photography. Half of the time there is a finger or something else in the way of my shots. lol.
