The Disneyland Resort just sent me details of their next pin event, a "press event"-style kickoff for the summer pin promotion.

Disneyland® 1955 – Pin-Vited Press Event
Date: Saturday, July 10, 2010
Time: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Location: Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

Now a special message from your local broadcast station ... D-PINZ ...
Mickey Mouse here ... head reporter for D-PINZ ... giving you, our "press"
corps and your families a sneak preview of Dateline: Disneyland® 1955.

Enjoy a nostalgic journey back to yesteryear and the beginning of Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom. As an honorary member of our "pin-vited press," you'll be among the first to see this "press preview" of Dateline Disneyland®. This exclusive scoop will include a special showing of concept and actual pin art from the festival, a meet and greet with the Disney Artists behind the pin magic and the opportunity to "trade
secrets" about the pin world.

Reservations for the Pin-Vited Press Event Package are $65, per person. (Limited to availability. No discount will be offered in conjunction with this package.)

Registration opens via DisneyPins.com on March 3, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Pacific.

They mean back to the time when there was no pin trading? :)

interesting note from another blog that 2/14/2010 will mark a date where the Walt Disney company has been run longer without Walt than with. Nostalgia indeed!
