The Disneyland Resort announced a Southern California 2fer Sweepstakes via Twitter today. If you live in Southern California, you can win a 2Fer ticket, if you live outside of Southern California you'll receive a one-day, one-park ticket. The rules are at this link (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2fer-twitter/), and you should definitely read them because there are a lot of little details that could trip you up and render your entry inelligible.

To enter, you must

1) Have or create a Twitter account.
2) Add the Disneyland Twitter account (@Disneyland) to your follow list.
3) Send the following "tweet" EXACTLY AS WRITTEN BELOW. Failure to include any portion of this tweet may render your entry inelligible:

@Disneyland (http://twitter.com/Disneyland) Enter me in your Southern California Resident 2fer Sweepstakes! #Disney2fer (http://twitter.com/search?q=%23Disney2fer)

If you win, you will be contacted by Direct Message through Twitter. One final thing - if you have a "protected" Twitter account, you will not be able to enter. If you "unlock" your account to submit your entry, you'll need to keep it unlocked throughout the contest period, or you can't be notified if you win.

Good luck! Oh, and while you're on Twitter, be sure to follow @MousePlanet, @MouseAdventure, @MouseStation, @MPMark and @MousePlanetAVP

Congratulations to the winners - I'll let them out themselves, but I know several MousePlanet readers were among the lucky ducks who were notified this morning.

Well, I won.

Unfortunately, whoever is running the @Disneyland Twitter account doesn't seem to realize that in order to receive a Direct Message, they have to follow the person they want to receive from.

In other words, if I want to send a Direct Message to @Disneyland, @Disneyland has to be following me. And they're not. I know I'm not the only one in this situation; at least one other MousePlanet staffer has also won and also can't send @Disneyland the required DM to accept the prize.

Hopefully the people behind the @Disneyland Twitter account get this figured out and don't penalize the winners for not being able to respond within the specified timeframe.

Edit: They did figure it out shortly after this and started following all the winners. Interestingly, this means you can get an idea of who won by looking at who @Disneyland is now following (http://twitter.com/Disneyland/following).
