For those folks planning a trip in the next few weeks, Disney has made some adjustments to the refurb schedules.... When MousePlanet posted the info, they were PLANNED, but as always, everything at Disney is subject to change, so here is the latest info, as of January 20th...

Disneyland

Main Street Cinema (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=AAE201) – closed through February 1 for refurbishment.
Starcade – closed through February 1 for refurbishment.
Le Petit Chalet Gifts – closed through February 10 for refurbishment.
Magic Eye Theater / Honey, I Shrunk the Audience – closed to make room for the return of Captain EO sometime in February.
Corn Dog Wagon – closed through May 4 for refurbishment.
Rivers of America – closed through May 6 for major refurbishment. This also closes all attractions requiring use of the river: Sailing Ship Columbia (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=AAD103), Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=AAD104) and Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=AAB101), Mark Twain Riverboat (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=AAD102) (closed until May 14), as well as the Fantasmic! nighttime show (closed until May 27).
"it's a small world (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=AAC104)" – closed through January 28 for removal of the holiday overlay.
Tomorrowland Terrace (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=AAH401)– closed January 25 to July 2 for refurbishment. The Jedi Training Academy show will be offered while the restaurant is closed.
Matterhorn Bobsleds – closed February 1 to March 11 for refurbishment.
Disney's California Adventure

Seasonal refurbishments:

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=ABB106)– closed through February 19 for refurbishment.
Francis' Lady Bug Boogie (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=ABA103)– closed January 25 to February 4 for refurbishment.
Golden Zephyr – closed February 10 to April 2 for refurbishment.
Award Weiners (http://ww.mouseplanet.com/guide.php?pg=ABC401) – closed until April 18.

FYI, I am just noting the CHANGES...

Starcade closed on 1/19, so more than likely will re-open later than 2/1.

Corn Dog Wagon on Main Street remains open, might close later in the year.

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is open, the "refurb" has been delayed and more than likely will happen after Spring Break.

So for those planning trips, that is the most up to date info.....

I have a question about the starcade. Or rather the escalator inside of it. How long has that been closed? And didn't it lead to a dinning area underneath/on/at around the structure of Space Mt?

As I remembered it, the upstairs of the Starcade was JUST games, many of which were Air Hockey or Foosball, but the outer "ring" was more video games.

Thanks for that Darkbeer. Hopefully things won't change much more before our trip.

So if the Corn Dog Wagon closes (either temporarlily or permanently), will there be another place to get a corn dog in DL?

What could they be doing to the Corn Dog Wagon to have it scheduled to be closed for so long?

So Redwood is open then until further notice? I found out last week GC pool is down until 2/20/10.

Yes, Redwood Creek is open (unless it is raining), no new date has been announced.

As for the Grand Californian, PART of the pool area (the original segment) is closed, but the new pool that was built as part of the expansion is open to guests. A sign that states the older section is closed advises guests to go to Guest Services if they want to access another pool area (DLH or PPH) to take advantage of the "slide" feature.

Glad Redwood is open. My 6yo loves that place!

I'm glad Redwood is open too. When I first saw the refurb schedule in December I couldn't figure out what they were thinking having Tom Sawyer Island and the Redwood Creek area closed at the same time. My kids need the time out to run around and just be kids that these two areas provide.

Redwood really is one of those special places at the resort where you can feel safe about letting your kids run free while you rest on a bench.
