If you see a group of children in wheelchairs wearing bright yellow t shirts today, say hello - they are Wendy's Dreamlift kids from the Okanagan Valley (where Kelowna is) in Canada. Some local Wendy's restaurants have a fundraiser every January to raise money to send kids with disabilities or life-threatening illnesses to Disneyland for a day - Orange County police (I believe) help escort and support the kids when they arrive there (a buddy system - all volunteer). Money from some sales on Wendy's Dreamlift Day (all???) go to the event and staff and management donate their wages from the day; there are a ton of extra volunteers as well (lots are media).
Anyhow, give them a big Disney hello if you happen to see them out and about - this is a trip of a lifetime for most!!!
