Not sure if it's news, but Jack Skellington was out meeting people yesterday. We didn't know he was a character to meet until seeing a picture from last year just a week or so ago.

Anyway... he came out around 11am. Came walking from Splash Mountain all the way around to the fountain in front of the train station East of Haunted Mansion. Escorted by 2 Haunted Mansion cast members in thier normal costumes (not the usual yellow shirt and "Ask Me" pin). He stayed out for what seemed like a long time, taking pictures and signing autographs. The CM that plays Jack sounds and acts perfectly!

Sally was not out yesterday, but she does come out on other days the CM said.

Jack was also back out around 1pm in the same spot. May have been just a weekend thing, but no harm in looking if there on a weekday.

This was the highlight of my DW's visit! LOL

On the gay days weekend, I saw them both out a lot. In fact, I practically ran into him when I turned around suddenly. The area in front of the Haunted Mansion is so conjested. He is a little creepy though, because he is half face character and half mask. It's kinda weird. YOu can tell it's jack but his head really doesn't look like Jack.

Disneyland Character hosts don't have a yellow shirt. That's Florida.

Ummm... then what color would you call them... cause to me they are yellow, with blue pants. And a big "ASK ME" pin on their right side.

Now for Pixie Hollow, Princess Fantasy Faire, stuff like that... they wear CM uniforms. But go to Toon Town when Pluto and Goofy come out... go see the villains by Small World... go over to DCA when the Incredibles or Sully come out. Yeah... yellow shirts.

Is it just me or does his face look a little weird? I think that they could have done a way better job with his character. Maybe he will look much better in person.?.?. On the other hand I hope that I get the chance to see him! Thats so cool. Where does he usually make an appearance? Thanks for sharing that information with us.

Sigh... now I wish I would have taken a picture at the Villains meet by Small World.

I do know the Survey Takers... they wear Red Shirts / Blue Pants

Red sleeve cuff and collars, perhaps. But yellow shirt.

We saw Jack yesterday, briefly as we were walking to the Hungry Bear for dinner. Yes, kind of weird looking though.

I can't say I've ever seen a character side in a yellow shirt either... sometimes they are in the theme of the land (maybe Toon Town, that would blend with the other CM's), sometimes something similar to the tour guide attire, sometimes some variation of red/white/blue casual (shorts and polo shirts). I think it depends on where the character is, which park, and how hot the weather is.

I'm so confused anymore I don't remember. That's why I wished I had taken a picture.... cause I more than like wrong. All I can remember is yellow shirts, blue pants... I think the shirts might have had red sleeve cuffs and collars.

How about this: I just thought it was neat that they cast members escorting Jack were wearing HM outifts... probably because I've never seen any HM characters out in the park. :)

I don't want to argue or make people mad. The whole point was just to say I thought it was neat that Jack was out.

Sorry if I upset anyone.

Sorry if I upset anyone. No one's upset (at least I don't think anyone is), simply confused. I know they used to be in a guide outfit, some are geared more towards the land (like HM), but now I am curious what I have seen and if my mind is playing games. It very well could be yellow shirts, justthat isn't what my mind is reminding me of.

Slightly off topic - but I find the two Jacks super confusing. I had just finished replying to the thread about if Jack (Sparrow) was back in the park(not as far as I know?) and then I see this thread about Jack being here! I got super excited for all of 2 seconds...:p
I also had the same problem at the Trick or Treat party. We would try to point out a great Jack costume to each other - and then completely miss it because one was looking for Sparrow and the other was talking about Skellington!

I'm sorry Bluuth. Didn't think about that one... I'll have to remember for future posts to clarify. Good point. :)

Although I still think this Jack is better than that Jack. Of course I don't know jack. Well now I know Jack, just not that Jack. Actually, yes I did meet Jack awhile back... so I guess I know Jack's, but don't really know jack.

We saw Jack and Sally out each day when we were there the first weekend in October. We decided to wait in the long line for them one of the days. I was glad we did. I love Jack and Sally! If I knew how to post a picture here, I would!

There was no line waiting for us fortunately. I saw him coming towards us and practically tackled him, then told the CM assistants I was going to hold thier hand to make sure I was first.

Funny part was... earlier I asked my wife if we could go to the Princess Fantasy Faire so I could see Belle and the princesses. She denied my request numerous times before I gave up, but let her know... no characters for me, none for her. That meant Jack Skellington too.

Well, on the way to Splash Mountain I jokingly asked "what would you do if we ran into Jack Skellington right here?" to which she replied "i'd jump up and down and scream like a school girl."

I told her, "no no no no, remember... no princesses, no Jack." About 30 seconds later here he comes. And 30 seconds from then I was taking pictures of a giddy school girl. Sheeeeesh.

The characters or the line, lol. In that picture I got in a gap and there was another about 20 people to the left toward the end of the line, at least.

We happened to see Jack and Sally yeterday 10/11, and waited in the long line to have a photo taken. Both characters really interacted with everyone who came up, so the line moved slowly, but they were great with little kids who were a little scared, Jack would get on his knees to talk to them, and was really great. Thumbs up!

We saw them and spoke to them . Sally was very sweet ,pretty, and perfectly in character. She noticed that our friend was wearing a hair bow with an eyeball in the middle of it and exclaimed happily, " Oh look, Jack, she's wearing an eyeball. Oh my, did the someone give you his eye as a present?"

Hurrah!
Thanks for pointing out the tital change Z3ro to H3ro. I'm super excited the mods changed the thread name - thank you! Now I'll stop getting excited everyday when I see the thread (and then disappointed when I read it).

Of course, you'd think I'd learn, but I'm not always the sharpest in the AM.
