from being frozen cryogenically to the present day and time? Check out this webnovel about Walt Disney at Snowbird (http://aghostwriter.com/snowbirdindex.html) Most is free but the rest must be bought, hopefully it can be published.

I saw an article about that story a long time ago. I read the novel and wasnt that impressed. I liked the idea for the story and the scenes with Walt were a neat sidebar. But when the story started dealing with the Russians taking over and all that jazz, I just got bored. Plus it was hard to read on the computer with only one page at a time.

But the idea for the story is still very interesting.

I seem to find it easier reading on the computer but then my monitor is a 19', so this story came out a long time ago? Perhaps so but I find it fascinating that it is very much like my novel about my charactor going back in time to visit Walt with all the technology from the year 2001 to save the future of the human race....but no more as i may now have to rewrite a couple of pages;)

I was up for hours last night reading this! I honestly hope the author can get this book published but I hear that it may not due to some heavy handedness from the mouselawyers:rolleyes: Aghostwriter.com was the name of the website. Its not the Russkies that I think nowadays of beeing a threat but the Chinese, imagine WDW becoming an entry point of illegal immigrants. In a nutshell its about Walt's inner circle of friends that have had him frozen until a cure for cancer is found, just try to read it as it a bit boring for the tweens (no rollercoasters) but I expect the grownups will find it interesting, I wonder if Al Lutz has read it?

I really liked it as well.
I wonder if Walt was as chauvinistic, racist and homophobic as the author had him, or if was just because of the time Walt was from. Not as PC as today.

You can tell the author is trying to stay out of trouble with Disney's lawyers. In the story, Eisner is retired, and there are also some fictional locations on Disney property.

I hope it gets published too. I'd buy it.

Whew! I just finished reading all 40 chapters! That was very good and with a little bit of fine tuning could be some kind of movie even. I was hoping Walt was going to go public and change the DisCo to the way he visualized it instead of the worl fair/t-shirt mall that Epcot is nowadays. But then in retrospect as times change and the ways of the people here in the USA I know realized the true meaning of Walts legacy will never bear fruit but instead will only be a silken imitation of a tree bought at a chain store, The Oriental Land Company has it right and I will wager that when TDS opens ABC will NOT have coverage.Any takers?

What's scary is that TDS doesn't even need coverage or press. Here's an example of postive word of mouth that is truely amazing. Nobody has seen the park, no "real" announcements have been made, no advertising(yet), and yet I want to go there without hesitation.

Kind of scary, no??

I wonder how Disney is going to take the press when the enevitable question comes out comparing TDS and DCA?? Especially if TDS's attendance is huge!!

I agree that there won't be widespread coverage of Tokyo DisneySea here in the US, but I don't think it will have anything whatsoever to do with supposed concerns about comparisons with the US parks. It won't be big news here simply because it is on the other side of the world and very few people in the US will likely ever see it.

Certainly, there is a fair amount of awareness of the park among the more passionate Disney fans, but I question whether or not the majority of the general public even knows that Tokyo Disneyland exists, much less that they are building a second park.

I know this is taking off on a tangent and I will make a proper posting at the TDL board about this later, but what we really need is a webcast from TDS on opening day, somehow someone or some group (hint hint) should make an effort to be on hand and internet connected to produce a "show", that would be the absolute hilight for a Disney website.

to go back to your original posted question...

If Walt came back to life today two things would happen...

1. Murdering rampage in Burbank.....holding off swat team for hours

2. Suicide after realizing Dis stock price knowing all his shares lave been liquidated.

could hapen....

or, how about.....

He applies as a ride op for Ghostrider
at Knotts.

I bet he would sell DCA to the Chinese or have it dismanteled and shipped to Buenos Aires or Australia.
