I know it was supposed to be starting to fill around now. Anyone have any "latest new" on this?

Additional work, mainly involving the return of the wave machine has delayed the refilling of Paradise Bay until October.

When I found out it wouldn't be refilled for my trip (arriving on Monday! :D), I was kind of disappointed, but now that I'm considering upgrading to an annual pass I'm actually happy that I'll be able to see all the fountains and stuff in the construction phase.

I've heard different things about when exactly in October it will be refilled. Does anyone know if it'll be early/late in the month?

The Disneyland Resort update today on MousePlanet said mid-October. I am kinda bummed that it won't be filled when we are there too. Oh well, I guess that means we have to schedule another trip. :D

It looks like they are having to do some extra construction to reinforce the cable relays near the Screamin' launch to prevent the wave machine from damaging that structure. They've been out there welding new cross pieces onto the rails, and have added what looks like a "cage" of sorts across the upper level.

Heading to Dland on Sep 30, 1 and 2 and was thinking it would be full by then too. It really ruins the ambiance on one hand but on the other hand I am really fascinated by the work. VERY VERY cool and gives you an appreciation on what lengths they go through!!! How much would it stink to fill that up and then have someone say "UM, we forgot to install these 50 pieces." oops. Suppose they need to get it all done. Very done.

I am so pleased to see another big deal at DCA! I am giddy about Buena Vista street and look forward to that construction too! Of course....I am mad....

When we were planning our trip for early Sept, I was hoping the lagoon would have been filled in. I just thought, well, I have seen all of the pictures on Mouse Planet of the fountains and nozzles, so I would prefer to see water than a construction mess. But I was actually happy to see all of the mechanicals when we were there. It is quite different seeing the scope & scale of this in person. It is going to be a magnificent show.

I've kind of been out of the loop on this one...we saw all the construction in June, but when is the whole thing scheduled to be done?

Since I couldn't comment on the announcements page, I thought I'd start a thread in this area.

Disney has announced they are starting to fill the lagoon in DCA!!!

I loved this part! Should be interesting to see! "The lagoon will fill at a steady pace, and should be more than halfway full in about three days." Boy, did I pick a good time to go!! :)
