According to a reader at the Resort today, The French Market has taken out the self-service beverage stations. A CM now takes your drink order as you go down the line, and there are no more free refills.

Also, the price of a Mint Julep has increased to $2.99.

AVPHmmm, I swore that was how it was last Dec. There were no refills and the drink machine was backwards.

Ok it's not me then....we ate there in May and I'd swear they had already reversed the machine and no free refills.

And this is why one should never believe cast members. According to this reader, the CM at the restaurant told her it had happened sometime this weekend. :p

Okay enough already, the .99 tomatoes were one thing but, that is about the same price as for a whole entire bottle of Scope. I don't know how many Juleps they can get out of one Scope bottle but enough with the gouging :p

More like 5:1 ratio of Scope to Sprite. I heard so much about them and was like OMG who put the toothpaste in my soda. I will see if I have a receipt for my mint sprite julep.

According to the menus at AllEars the mint juleps were $2.99 back in July:

Another reason not to just believe a random guest emailer either. :)

Another reason not to just believe a random guest emailer either. :)Sadly, this wasn't a random guest e-mailer, but a regular reader who thought she was doing us a favor by reporting something a CM told her was new.

Live and learn. ;)

the curse of the "I want to have some inside scoop too" syndrome....I get it. I related something from a reader who has always been reliable, based on something a CM told her, and it was wrong. Mea culpa.

AVPNot your fault! For me, I was just starting to wonder about my memory... It is going and I was seriously unsure if maybe I was just THINKING that is what had happened last Dec.

CMs are notorious for bad info, we all know it....
