Hi! I'm taking a career planning class and we're talking about jobs that we'd enjoy having. Basically, I chose "face character" and I just gotta find out how much they get paid and how many hours a week they work. Thanks for any responses.

They make around $14.00/hr starting, and up to around $19.00/hr for some of those who have been there a while. They work depending on their availability, but many work full time. They have a paid 45 min dressing time in the morning and 30 min undress at the end of their shift. They also get paid 15 min breaks for every 45 min set and a 1 hour 15 min lunch.

Typical schedule is something like this:

Shift 8:15 - 5:15
8:15 - 9:00 dressing
9:00 - 9:45 first set
9:45 - 10:00 break
10:00 - 10:45 second set
10:45 - 11:00 break
11:00 - 11:45 thrid set
11:45 - 12:00 break
12:00 - 12:45 fourth set
12:45 - 2:00 lunch
2:00 - 2:45 fith set
2:45 - 3:00 break
3:00 - 3:45 sixth set
3:45 - 4:00 break
4:00 - 4:45 seventh set
4:45 - 5:15 undress

yeah, not only do you have to have the right face, you also have to be the exact size to fit in the dress

my sons teacher is a splitting image of snow white. when she tried out they were going to hire her after she spent several thou. at the dentist. and her teeth are pretty nice too, just not perfect.

Well, you do have to be very close, however, they custom fit several dresses to you when they hire you.

Pardon me, but the Mad hatter doesn't wear a dress. Nor does he have perfect teeth as I recall.

Is the pay the same if your not a princess?

Is Captain Hook a face character? Or is it only half face?

The only Captain Hook I have seen is deffiently not a "Face" character. He wears a "big head." So I guess he is a "body " character but deffienetly not a face character.

Captain Hook is a face character in Fasntasmic! ;-) But that's another story.

Actually,I think that captain hook is a "head character" or an "atmosphere character" (at the park). So they custom fit the dresses...would that include Jasmines lil outfit?:)

I know the shows, Captain Hook is a face character in Fantasmic! Actually, this is partially for safety reasons, when he is up on those ropes he needs to be able to see what he is doing clearly, a mask would restrict that.

How much difference is there in pay for the face characters and the other characters? Just Curious

That makes a lot of sense. And this is kinda what I figured when you mentioned it.

I watched the video and while you can't really see Captain Hook's face in the shots, you can deffiently tell it he has "real hair" no the plastic hair like the "head" has.

Hey, does anyone know how disney is on height for the face characters.A friend of mine says that they're pretty strict ,but they usually mention it on the hotlines or wherever u get the audition info, and it didn't mention anything this time. Also, how is the audition process? I've done some research and read some articles from mouseplanet, but i wonder if its still the same. I don't know if im gonna go, I'm intimidated. :(

...whats sock feet?

I read on another board that they shortened the hieght requirement at least for the princesses.

is your feet wearing socks :D It means basically in terms of a persons height, how tall they are with no shoes on.
