Okay, so we've heard gossip about the interior change possibilities for Space Mountain's redo, but what about the facade?

Have any plans been drawn up for changes to Space Mountain's exterior (which is a disaster since it was plastered with those simulated ketchup and mustard and dirt stains a few years back).

Do they intend to make a more complex layered facade like DLP to match the attempted/aborted Vernian scheme of New Tomorrowland?

Or will they go back to the classic white moonscape that goes with the mod building design (which would mean needed changes to the surrounding Tomorrowland buildings as well, hopefully back to ultramodern)?

Or will they only improve the paint scheme to the existing building?

Hopefully there is no choice to just leave it as is.

Anyone hear anything about this?

(I've noticed in pics for DLHK that they are taking a more classic DL Tomorrowland looks for Space Mountain. A sign of things to come here?)

It all depends on what they plan to do when Disney gives Tomorrowland an overhaul after the park's 50th.

I suspect HongKong Disneyland is getting a white Space Mountain because it's just easier to maintain.

I'm hoping for something original but I won't hold my breath.

The concept artwork for Hong Kong Disneyland does show a white space mountain.

You can see a small picture Here (http://www.disney.com.hk/hkdisneyland/english/tomorrowland.html)

A bigger picture is Here (http://www.disney.com.hk/hkdisneyland/index-flash.html) You just have to sit and wait for the slide show to run through a couple shots.

Okay, just for -FUN- and nothing more. Let's have a VOTE out and see which option is the most popular (http://home.earthlink.net/~captbulldog/votesm.html)

 I know it needs it, but has there been talk of this? Can it be true?

I vote for a sleek upgraded white ultramodern Space Mountain (as well as a return to ultramodern Tomorrowland in general).

Well I would be guessing on this one. If I were the imagineer I would only make a major change on the outside if the track were to be redesigned. If it was just a tear down and same layout for the track I would just repaint the outside to a new color. To tell you the truth I kind of like the Hong Kong design.

In looking at the bigger picture, I noticed that not only are they supposed to get a Classic White Space Mountain (tm), but a Classic White-and-Red Way Up High Rocket Jets! Oops, no one tell Ghoulish about this....;)

I vote for a completely chrome Space Mountain. Reflective and cool. Retro future, just like white was, but not the same old white.
