Hello everyone - In the discussions about the Disneyland hotel - I've noticed that people have paid a variety of prices. The best online deal I can find is $169/night through Expedia.
I've noticed a few people that quoted $119 - AP rate. What is that? And can anyone get that deal?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

That 119 a night rate is if you have an Annual Pass. You have to have an Annual Pass to get that rate.

Does the annual passport have to be the premium or can it be the deluxe? The premium one is $225 - the deluxe is $165. Also - do kids pay the same rate for the annual pass - or do they get a discount - i.e. the 5 days for the price of 3 deal...
Thanks!

You don't need an AP to MAKE a reservation, though you do need one to check in, so you can make the reservation, and then pick up your AP prior to checking in when you arrive. And only ONE person needs an AP, not the entire party. So one parent could stay with the kids in Downtown Disney, while the other parent goes to DL to get his/her AP.

Annual Passes are for any age (3 and older), so the price is $105 for the Southern California AP (which is available to ANYONE, no zip code requirements, heck, I know Canadians who have purchased the SoCal AP), $165 for the Deluxe, or $225 for the Premium.

Many families get ONE Premium AP so they can get the free parking, plus the 10% off merchandise, and the largest choice of food discounts. And the rest of the family gets the Deluxe. But the discount on hotels is available for ANY AP holder.

Be aware that the AP rates can vary over the year, also. Right now the best AP rate I could find for DLH(in early Feb) is $159.

Actually, I just booked a room at the DLH for $119 in late Jan. They would not make the reservation until I gave them my AP # so plan on having your pass available at time of booking.
Also GC is offering rates of $159 great rate, I've never seen it this low.
Have Fun

Could you tell me what dates in Jan? I booked for Feb. 1st(Sat) and got an AP rate of $159. I'd be willing to change my trip plans for a $119 rate (or move to the GCH!).
Thanks.

(PM me if you don't want it public)
