Our family will be visiting Disneyland for the first time in mid-February (we've always gone to DisneyWorld). My two little girls are crazy about the princesses: Cinderella, Belle and Sleeping Beauty. Is there a character meal at Disneyland with the princesses or a specific place in the park where we can get their autographs? Also, what will we be missing with Sleeping Beauty's castle closed "indefinitely"?

The Disney princesses rotate through a set of appearances in front of the Castle. When you get to Disneyland, you can check with the "toon finder" at the central information board to find out exactly when each princesses will be around.

The castle closure applies only to the walkthrough inside the Castle. You can still walk through the drawbridge, but not climb the stairs and see the walk-through diorama.

You can also visit the princesses at the princess storytelling at the Once Upon a Dream shop. This is a very little-known activity, and a lot of fun.

Have a GREAT trip!

Our niece *loved* the Disney Princess storytelling time at the Once Upon a Dream shop. It was great~very cute! We also hung out by the castle (and by Snow White's Grotto)in late morning and early afternoon and got to meet Belle, Snow White, and Cinderella in one day.:) Good luck and have a great trip!!!

We just went to Disneyland in August.
We found the best time to meet the princesses was early morning - all around the front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The character "handlers" that come with the princess are also very helpful - they would let us know when the princess was coming back during the day - if the lineup was too long, etc.
Also - don't forget Ariel in Tritan's Grotto - just between the Castle and Tomorrowland.
Storytime at the Princess Shop inside the castle was also good - the staff there can let you know times, etc.

All times and appearances are subject to change, so definitely stop in and check with the Toonfinder if anything has changed for the day of your visit, but in general, there are three Princess story times per day (I can't recall what the exact times are though), with the first told by Snow White, and the last two told by Belle.

General locations for the Princesses are:
Sleeping Beauty~ Towards the Eastern side of the Castle
Snow White~ near her grotto on the eastern side of the castle.
Belle (and sometimes the Beast)~ Towards the west side of the castle
Cinderella~ Also on the west side of the castle.
Ariel~ At Triton Gardens, between the entrance to Tomorrowland and the Matterhorn
Jasmine~ At Aladdin's Oasis in Adventureland. On Friday-Sunday, the Storytale adventure show is run, so if you want to visit then (and catch a really good show), you have to see the show first, and then Jasmine (as well as Aladdin) stays in the theater to do a meet and greet session. On non-show days, Aladdin and Jasmine do their meet and greets in the entryway to the Oasis.
