We are going to be in Disneyland next week, and my two boys LOVE WALL-E! I know they were going to put a WALL-E in WDW, but is he in the CA parks yet? Anyone know when?

Thanks!

They have a Wall-E picture location. They have a cutout of Wall-E with a background.

FYI, the photo location is at DCA, in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot. Walk down the main street to the end, and make a left. It is right next to the restrooms.

When we saw PUSH the talking trash can in DCA yesterday, about half the kids mistook him for Wall-E. He is square and brown obviously but I think it's the voice that does it. If they are young, you could always take them by and let them come to their own conclusion. ;)

And, of course, there is a lot of WALL-E merchendise for sale. Small toys and plushies aplenty, but the cream of the crop is a near lifesized remote controlled toy for $80.

Video of Wall-E (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=As7UQtKX00c)
I found this video online. I don't think they had it at Disneyland, I could be wrong though.

Here: http://ocresort.freedomblogging.com/2008/06/28/disneys-wall-e-not-coming-to-disneyland-resort-this-summer/764/

That says that the Wall-e Robot was planned to come out summer, but those plans have changed and probably wouldnt appear until a few months after the initial movie release. I say that this could happen soon. With all the remodeling going around DCA and attraction closures, I am sure Disney would need to bring in some additional "perks" to give visitors a reason to visit both DCA and Disneyland. By bringing Wall-e in, I am sure some guests would want to visit both parks rather than just one. Well, I know I would.

Very cool video! I couldn't tell if it was actually in the park. But it looked like a CM talking to him, and an executive in the background. They got the sound just right!

According to the description, this was in L.A.

I love the video, WALL-E is so cute! I hope he is there, I will scope out the situation and report back. If not this time, hopefully by our Spring trip.

If anyone else has any additional info, let me know!

Thanks!

So you make the most of your trip, I would suggest that you first ask at either guest relations (in DCA) or city hall (in disneyland) so you know that he is actually there. If there's anybody that can confirm wall-e's presence at the park, it'd be the folks in those areas.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Wall-E hasn't been around, and if there was a chance he'd be around, I expect we'd have already heard about it from MP or on the boards.

The only Wall E we saw on our last couple of visits over the holidays was the one in California Adventure and it is just a cut out.

I have asked a couple friends of mine who work at DCA and DL about Wall-E coming to the parks, and they all told me it was supposed to happen over the summer, but they haven't heard anything further. The good news is that after months of Wall-E merchandise being out of stock, it is finally back! That made my day!

It's possible that Wall-E was the victim of budget cuts. That would be my guess anyway.

Well, judging from the video clip they obviously built him. It'd be a shame if they didn't let him come out and play just to save a couple of salaries.

Just my opinion...perhaps the Wall-E you see in the youtube video isn't safe to run around DCA or DL. Those treads are exposed, and kids may get their foots run over if they get too close. There's also a lot of moving parts, and it may be too hard for CMs to keep kids from being kids next to Wall-E.

Have you seen the Ultimate Wall-E robot? A bit pricier than $80 though...

They actually went on a tour with that Wall-E.

Wow! That video was ah-mazing! It's too bad they don't have it in the parks, me and some close realatives are going around spring break time and it would be so awesome to see the adorable little robot:D

I actually saw an unsuspecting guest try to use PUSH as a real rubish bin until it spoke and they nearly [deleted] a brick and jumped about 50 feet flat footed. THAT was an E ticket experiance. :)

So what do you guys think about Wall-E ride potential? It would definitely fit in to Tomorrowland, but not in the happy utopian kind of future... Maybe something to replace HISTA?

I have taken lots of pictures of Wall E at this location. Best character meet and greet in all of the Disneyland resort! There is never any line and he is always there! I have a two year old and she enjoys getting her picture taken there and she thinks it's great.
