I went on it and saw the hippo and aligator last night but I did see the curtains and I'm not sure what they are covering up

The African room fits best for small world Halloween, not small world holiday anyhow.

That and the fact that the final room has different music. That's why the south pacific islands section is covered up. It's for transition into the finale.

BTW: the room covered up is the South Pacific Islands, not Africa.

Thanks everyone! Its a great transition too!

I *think* the last rooms music is a mix of small world and jingle bells, but I can't remember now.

Its just where they store the boats at night or when the ride is closed. It is always covered up.

Its the Rainforest room. The Rainforest room has the hatching eggs and the alligator (crocodile?) with the tiny umbrella. I guess its hard to theme the Amazon to any end of the year holidays. This is a different alligator (crocodile?) than the one in the Africa room with the hippo & laughing hyenas. The Africa room has big bells and a sort of Kwaanzaa-esque look. Small World Halloween? Right. The Pacific Islands room has the big tiki reindeer masks and mermaids singing "Jingle Shells."

Cemeinke has a "reason" for the black-out. He concluded that they don't celebrate Christmas in the Rainforest.:D

I was actually thinking on the ride through last month that there're quite a few countries in the attraction that don't celebrate Christmas :)

That alligator/crocodile is actually a caiman - their Central/South American relative. I'm assuming the spotted cat in the same scene is meant to be a jaguar...
