I like Tinkerbell but this makes me sad. I loved seeing Ariel with her tail and it was my daughter's favorite spot.

This is in Disneyland? Is it the spot where there is a huge shell and you take pics with Ariel inside the shell?

The woman they have playing Ariel is unbelievably hot! I hope she's still in the parade!

And by the looks of the woman they have playing Tink, she doesn't even compare!

Yes. The shell is now a big tea kettle.

does anyone have pictures yet????

DD and DS both want to go see Tinker Bell!

DS will be sad he has a major crush on Ariel, and loved to go see her at the shell.

I imagine it will look something like this:

This is the playset that is sold by Disney.

Here is a picture of it in the packaging.

Well DH is going to be upset:crying: (he too thinks Ariel is hot) but DD is already jumping up and down and singing the "I want to go to DL" chant....

does anyone have pictures yet????No, because it's not open. I'll only tease Brady a little about this, because Disney did tell him it was going to soft-open today, but the construction walls were still there as of park opening this morning. It is now expected to open on Monday, and I'll post photos as soon as I can.

If you ride the Tomorrowland Rockets you can see over the walls.

Will this be a meet-and-greet for just Tink, or will the other Fairies be there too? Will they all be in the teapot?

I thought Tinker Bell was/is a Pixie.

Me too, but aren't they being marketed as the Disney Fairies?

Will they be taking out King Triton's fountain as well? I wish they could have found another spot for Tinkerbell. The parade Tinkerbell and Ariel are so beautiful.

Are they still planning a Little Mermaid ride in DCA? If so, maybe they will move Ariel there. The thought of not seeing Ariel as a mermaid is just so sad.

^^^^^^ Yes the fountain is gone with Triton. What we heard was there will be statues of all the fairies along the water now. No more Ariel and Triton. Ariel will have a huge presence at DCA so it is not too sad she is leaving that area. She is also at Princess Fantasy Faire now too.

I have a feeling they will reuse the Triton statue near then new attraction at DCA.

I think pixies are one sub-species of fairies -- so technically, she's both.

The Walls came down today, I have some photos, but wasn't going to wait 120 minutes in line (I did wait about 1 hour, but had to meet other folks for another event).

Nice pics! I can't believe the line though! Guess it'll be a LONG time before I get my pic with Tink.

Very good photos Dark Beer! Looking at your photos is just like looking at family photos! Disneyland is like home to my family. I'll have to call my DS and daugher-in-law today and tell them to get over there and take a look at Pixie Hollow.

(Wow, I'm officially homesick and sad:crying: All those decades I could jump in the car at any time and head over to DL for a few hours, a parade, a meal, fireworks, etc., now I'm 1,300 miles away)

It's always the same person 7 days a week for all the hours it's open?

We had to wait an hour today at 12 noon, but it was worth it for my 2 year old to meet SilverMist and Fawn, along with her favorite, Tinker Bell. I did happen to see the CM at the front of the line making note of the number of people who went past her during that hour (90), which was less than the 11 AM hour of 120 people. The family behind me was very friendly, and we actually enjoyed the Mary Poppins show together afterward. I would do it again, and my daughter is already asking when she can talk to Tinker Bell more.:D

But ALL of the 'Fairies' I think they're highlighting here are Pixies - no Blue Fairy, no Fairy Godmother, no Flora, Fauna, or Merriweather. They are all Fairies that aren't also Pixies.
