Thought this was an interesting item for sale on ebay. A MacBadger vehicle from DL's Mr. Toads Wild Ride. (http://cgi.ebay.com/disney/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1775675478)

$3,000 for shipping?!!?! I've always thought Disney was so tacky for duing these auctions on ebay especially since it dosen't go to charity but straight into their pockets.

Could someone tell me why making intelligent business decisions is "tacky"? There's no rule that says that company auctions should be for charity. I have no problem with this.

So, who's buying it for me???? ;) Actually, no thanks, mine absolutely MUST say "Toady" on it. :D

Heh... regarding the monorail cab, when I saw it on eBay I immediately thought of how some hunters put animal heads ont he wall over their fireplaces. Then I thought of mounting the monorail cab up there instead, and started trying to imagine the stories I could come up with to explain that ;)

Wait thou - this is CRAZY $3,000-$5,000 for shipping?

That's nuts

where is this item located? Nepal?

If you look at the desitnation charges for German cars - they run about $600-$700 and come from the other side of the world and go through the Panama Canal etc etc.

$3,000-$5,000?

Wow

It's a sneaky way of getting around ebay's profit. As well as guaranteeing their minimum price for the item while still generating lots of traffic by making it look like it's going on the cheap - read the fine print: you could pick it up yourself, but you'll still pay shipping!

What I really love is the little ad for the Disney Gallery and the Print on Demand stuff at the Premiere Shop....

Nice touch there, very tacky.
