Have you ever seen a music/movie/TV/sports star in Disneyland? I don't mean when the star comes to support a new ride, I mean when they are with their families, enjoys the park.

I saw a Days of Our Lives actor boarding the Disneyland Railroad. Not sure of his name, but he is the guy that is on the bottom row, all the way to the left (with beard)...I think he was with his wife and daughter.

please share all of your stories about seeing stars in the park!

Well about 2/3 years back i wanted to go to a WWF show in the arrowhead pond but couldnt get tickets, that same day the WWF was in town me and my family went to DL(before we had APs or anything) and i was going to ride BTMR one last time, when seeing that it was broken down i walked away depressed and thats when i saw a crowd of maybe atleast 30 people sorrounding some fat hairy old guy with a beard, IT WAS MICK FOLEY! from the WWF. He is my all time fav wrestler and is a disney geek himself. Seeing as he was also headed towards BTMR i broke the news to him that it was broken, he said thanks and was nice enough to take a picture with me. No security, nothing special, just a really cool guy i happened to meet at the magic kingdom:)

Just this past June on our way to Build a Bear we saw Tom Hanks and his family at the commemorative brick kiosk ... he had a Disney security person with him that asked nicely that we not ask for autographs since they were trying to have family time, but Tom waved at us and said Hi.... his kids were giving us that "look at the dorks, it's just our dad" look LOL

I've seen Tom Skerritt (Viper from Top Gun). Also Kobe Bryant (He was there shortly after they won the championship). Supposedly the same day Shaq and Christina Agulera were there too but I didn't see them.

Regarding the Days of Our Lives star, it's none other than Joseph Mascolo who played the evil Stefano DeMera for many years. I believe he is currently on another soap but is rumored to return to Days soon. Personally, the only celeb I've seen at DL is Michael Eisner on the final, real, last night of the Main Street Electrical Parade. My daughter, a former CM has seen Tori Amos, Christine Aguilar and Hugh Hefner.

I once saw Gallagher walking up Main Street in the middle of an afternoon.

And one morning when Main Street was open before the rope drop I went to Coke Corner for a cup of coffee and I saw Jonathan Miller chatting with friends. Miller was one of the four writer-performers of Beyond The Fringe, a sophisticated and very influential sketch-comedy revue of the early '60s. The other three members of Beyond The Fringe were Alan Bennett, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore.

I've seen lots of stars at Disneyland.

Just go on Space Mountain; they're everywhere!

Sorry, somebody had to. :D

I don't know why, but I can't quit laughing at this.

I saw Ming-Na (Voice of Mulan and actress on ER) waiting in line for Indiana Jones. It was about 3 years ago.

in feb, while waiting in line for CS, my brother pointed out what lookedlike penelope cruz just standing around on the other side of the loading area. our group rode and exited. i turned around as we were exiting to ask the group if we wanted to ride again when i collided with someone. i turned around to say excuse me when i realizied who i had bumped into. tom cruise. he is short. but oh so nice. and there i was apologizing profusely for allmost knocking him down, and he was telling me not to worry about it.

that same day as we were exiting IJ we saw tom and penelope again. it was astounding that he remembered me and asked us if we would like to join their group on IJ, that is, if we wanted to ride again.

both of them were quite personable and very nice.

my roommate still talks about this little encounter 9 months later.

I most recently saw Donald Faison (the black dude on "Scrubs", who was also on the T.V. Show "Clueless")... he was pushing a stroller along side a very pregnant girlfriend (or wife?) , and had about four other small children with him. He looked so worn out and haggard from a long day at the park, a lot of people recognized him and turned and pointed at him, but for the most part, he just was doing the daddy-thing at Disneyland. You sometimes forget that these stars are real people too!

I recently saw Donald Faison as well this summer. Actually, he came into our store and I rung up his purchase. I imagine he was doing some last minute shopping before leaving the resort, but bought lots of nice things for his kids. He paid with a credit card, I asked for ID, and afterwards he said seriously, "Why did you ask me for my ID?" I got all scared, thinking that he was angry about me checking his ID, but I replied, "Because I checked your signature on the back of your card and it also requested that I ask to see your ID." He smiled, held up his hand and said, "Good. Gimme five!" He was very pleasant, though his wife looked like she was just about ready to go home and sleep!

This past weekend I saw Ethan Embry walking through DTD with a Guest Relations CM, and the next day my friend and I saw Melanie Griffith waiting for her party on the exiting platform of Big Thunder.

On Saturday while standing in line for iasw with a large group of friends wearing red shirts (wink, wink), we spotted Patrick Warburton (sporting a goatee) checking out the line with his family. He did not have any Disney escort and decided against waiting in the hour-long line. But before they moved on to Toontown, he came over to us and chatted and shook hands with a bunch of us. He was very friendly and personable.

Wow, if I knew who any of these people were, I'm sure I'd be impressed ;)

Seriously!...I'm about ready to look up some of these actors faces to see who they are!

The Tom Cruise story is very impressive...and yes...he is very short!

Any more stories out there?

Regarding the seeing Mike Eisner....

I would love to meat Mr. Eisner, and sit down for a long lunch...and talk about his situation...etc. He probably has no time for that....but I would love it!

I at least tried to explain who Jonathan Miller is...

chuckling over that "middle of an afternoon" line myself. I'm a professional writer, don't try this at home, kids...

And Morrigoon, does the name "Spike Milligan" ring a bell?

When I used to work there back in the days, I was headed towards the New Orleans Main Kitchen and I happen to see Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertenelli standing right by the Jungle Cruise. Eddie noticed me looking at him and smiled and gave me a thumbs up. I smiled and gave him one back. Pretty cool.
I also saw William Shatner and another time, Michael Jackson with
Brooke Shields. This was back in the 80's during a special night to raise money for the U.S. Olympic team when the Olympics were in L.A.. Mark Spitz was there giving some patriotic speech.
I saw Michael Jackson again when I was working. The freight elevator came down and two big dudes come out with Michael. Someone spotted him and rushed him onstage.
I have also seen a few 49ers there last year.

Years ago I ran into Michael Jackson on New Year's at DL. I felt bad. He was all alone and I was having a great time with good friends. We didn't get the nerve to ask him to join our party, but we should have. He looked terribly sad.

Later on, my husband and I ran into him at the Virgin Megastore in H-Wood. Again he was alone and again I wish I had the nerve to ask him to join us for lunch. He looked so shy and sad and singled out; kinda like how a person would feel if they didn't have any friends.

I encountered him again at work but he was in work mode and didn't seem so lonely.

My kids were the first ones to recognize Eisner and pointed him out to me. He was standing on the balcony of City Hall and we were directly below and in front of him. I also would have loved to sit down and have a chat with him. No one else around us seemed to care that he was there. We did get a very brief exchange with him, he was quite nice.

Most recent celeb sighting was not at DL but at Universal CityWalk where we spotted Gene Simmons of KISS at Sam Goody's.

I most recently saw Donald Faison (the black dude on "Scrubs", who was also on the T.V. Show "Clueless")...

I saw him also. He was in line in front of me at the bakery and asked what kind of coffee I had. I told him it was espresso and he ordered one. He looked so familar when he was standing there and it dawned on me when I went next to get my girls from the ice cream parlor. My girls didn't believe me and they spent the rest of the night keeping a eye out for him.

Not saying that it didn't happen, but does anyone else have a hard time believing that Michael Jackson was hanging out ALONE and wasn't being mobbed by thousands of people??

two words... Eric Idle. He got in line behind us at the Haunted Mansion. I was freaking out to much to say more than hello, but my mom talked to him and he was a really nice guy. Only 4 more pythons to go to complete the troupe.
