Can I videotape inside of innoventions? I think that I remember them saying no but I need a confirmation.

Also what rides permit videotaping and what rides don't? The maps should list this don't you think.

To my knowledge, you're allowed to video-tape/record/photograph anything as long as it's not intrusive (ex. bright taping lamp, flash photography, etc.)

I think the CMs do a fine job indicating which attractions do not allow videotaping. From what I've been able to gather, the only attractions that prohibit videotaping are film-based (3-D movies, Seasons of the Vine, Soarin', etc.).

I have been wanting to video tape rides. Like splash mountain, or the new haunted mansion, every ride really. Is that possible??

Like Uncle Dick said, only movie based attractions have rules against video taping. BUT, as a courtesy to everyone around you, PLEASE do not use your camera's light. It is very disruptive and hurts the experience for others.

Plus you need to be extra careful when videotaping Splash because of the water.

If you don' have a camcorder, get one with Nightvision. You can go into the attractions and videtape them and get great (abeit green) results. With all the IR that Disney uses for security, it is like shooting on a sound stage.

Most nightvision stuff isn't rated for very far distances (a few feet), so it really doesn't do good in rides like Indiana Jones, or Space Mountain, since the track & stuff isn't 'right' next to the car...

Pirates does better though.. Mostly due to Disney's night vision lights throughout the ride.. Gives the camcorder one a little boost.

We also taped Space Mountain at WDW from the Tommorow Transit Authority, and it didn't come out very well, either.

I used a very old heavy VHS camcorder to try to get Indy and it looks like I'm in a coal storm:eek: . The sound is pretty good though;) .....

Some CMs will yell at you over the speaker if you use NV though, because it blinds their cameras.

I taped Matterhorn during my last visit, it turned out pretty good.
It is a bit shaky though.
Small world, Jungle cruise and Storybook land are also good to tape.
