I've seen a lot of people on Mouse Planet refer to the BTMRR "Goat Trick". What exactly is this? Both me and a friend of mine at work (whose favorite attraction is BTMRR) would love to know!:D

Yes... The goat trick!

I can't ride BTM without doing the Goat trick now... It's even better at night.

It really is cool. When you do it you get this kind of fluttery feeling. I thought it would be silly, but after the first time I tried it I never miss it.

I heard about it here on MP a couple years ago. I told my wife so we tried it on our next trip. Now we do it every time. It's best from the rear section (last 3-4 rows) which we request every time anyway. A while back the goat was out for repairs when we were there so we called it "The Goatless Goat Trick":D

i love it - but its more than a fluttery feeling for me, i find it a really strong sensation - just on the good side of feeling sick.

It makes me feel like I'm going to vomit.

I don't do it. ;)

I would go so far as to say it's a different ride at night! I agree that the goat trick is much more powerful in the near-darkness. Now I like to get a bunch of fastpasses for BTMRR during the day, and come back to ride it at night.

The Wonderful Goat Trick!!! I love it, it gives my stomach the biggest "flip" but doesn't make feel sick at all!

I enjoy the goat trick but it doesn't give me the tummy flutters, it just keeps me distracted so I don't prepare myself for the turn and I get thrown into the person next to me.

No one else I go with gets the tummy effect either. But I still must do it every time.

The goat is back!

And he made a trip to the fur salon :D

I will definitely try this trick! I'm going on Sunday.

This sounds very interesting. I actually watched a You Tube clip of what it looks like to do it.

I may have to try it.

I'm sorry, I still don't get it.
I asked dh as this is one of his and dd's favorite rides together and he says that it just "scares" you because it baaaaa's at you and then you drop.
is that the trick? that it scares you or that you get nautious?
I saw the you tube videos and still can't see what the heck the fuss is about?!

Boo's Mommy, It's just sort of a whiplash kind of feeling. It makes you feel like you're going much faster than you actually are.

And that's a good thing?

I guess since my prefferred "pace" is well, the Pooh ride, the thrill rides go over my head!

Thanks for explaining it to me JD&D!

Ahhhh, the goat trick . . .

For those who don't want to look up the other thread, just look at the goat as the train whips around the corner, turning your head so that you're looking behind you. The disorientation that you'll feel is most pleasant to many, a bit sickening to some.

The "goat trick" also works on Gadget's Go Coaster if you keep your eyes on the frog during the final curve. ;)

Does that then make it the frog trick? Or the goat trick, froggy style? Or Gadget's Goat Trick? I'm so confused . . .
