Kodak Theater Info
My friends and I are looking for a hotel near the Kodak Theatre. We are hoping that our names will get drawn for some bleacher tickets.
We are in Northern California and need some help from the SoCal folk!! If we get the bleacher seats, we want to be able to take a taxi near the venue at a reasonable price. Any suggestions? We will most likely make a reservation soon and then cancel them if we end up not getting the tickets! Thanks in advance everyone!

There's a hotel right behind the theater, but I don't know the name of it. Someone might know. The old Roosevelt Hotel is right on Hollywood Blvd. near the theater, and it's a historical monument. Old doesn't mean run-down...it's a very high-class hotel. Here's the link .
Ok, the Kodak Theater website touts the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. Their website is here. I'm pretty sure this is the hotel right behind the Kodak Theater. Reservations for the weekend of the Academy Awards will be tough, though. Best of luck.

Really good luck. The Roosevelt and the Renaissance are the ONLY two hotels near the theater that are even habitable. They are both very nice, but after that, local area hotels decrease rapidly in quality.

Thank you all for the information on the hotels. hmm... are there any parking garages near the Kodak? How much are they? Maybe we can stay further away but still close enough.

The Kodak Theater is part of the Hollywood and Highland complex, located (obviously) at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Highland. This is right down the street from Grauman's (Mann's) Chinese Theater, the Egyptian Theater, Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum, and the Hollywood Wax Museum. Here is the link to their official website.
There is a parking garage located beneath the complex. I'm not sure of the exact rates, but one time I was parked there for around 6 hours and paid $10, which may be the maximum. Also, I believe there is validation with many of the shops in the complex. If you want to park cheaper, there are other lots along Hollywood Blvd, including one right next to the Chinese Theater, but they fill up fast. Also, you have to take into consideration the incredible traffic on Hollywood Blvd. on Oscar night. Everyone in the film industry is converging on one small (two lanes on each side) street. If you want to park there on the day of the awards, it would be ideal to get there very early. Be mindful of the times each parking lot closes, as well.

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the Hollywood & Highland complex very likely will be closed to the general public on Oscar day. I would imagine that will include the parking garage. You might want to check and see if they will open the garage for those with bleacher seats.
