Lightbulb Fantasmic June 11th 2009 [Tickets required; event sold out]

I almost did not want to post this but figured I would, in case anybody else might want to try and get the same deal we got today.

I took a minute and called the priority seating line this afternoon to verify a few things and was told that I could book Fantasmic @ 9:15pm on June 11th, so I did. I called my wife and she pointed out that the 11th is a grad night and the park closes at 9:00pm I hung up with her and called DL back. I was told the following...
Yes it is a grad night and yes DL will close at 9pm to all except the people who have booked priority seating for the 1st new F show at 9:15pm, those people will be able to stay and watch F and then roam through the park after the show, as there will be no real way to ask them to leave after the park is closed to the general public. The rep I talked to said it would most likely be a once in a lifetime type of experience as the park would basically be at 5-10% of capacity if that.
I am fully expecting to be asked to leave after the unpublished 9:15 Fantasmic show is over, so if that happens I am good with that. What I was so jazzed about was I think that this is going to be maybe 25 or 30 people (whatever the priority seating area holds) along with maybe a handful of people watching F all by ourselves. No crowds as the park crowds will be gone and the grad night crowd will not have been let in yet. That would be awesome, and I wanted to share the info. Just don't mess it up if you call and get told something different or it is all sold out already. JK.
Good Luck!

OK, now I am SO wanting to stay an extra day! Our trip is the 5-10th. I know MDM will slap me if I suggest staying an extra day for this.

We're booked for the same night. Can't wait to see the new show.

Did you book the normal way or is this maybe a press showing or something similar since it was not scheduled. I am excited to see the show either way. It is my daughters favorite thing in all of DL and this is her 6th Bday trip.
Plus now I am assuming we will probably get to meet AVP, the actual show will just be a bonus next to that

We booked it as well this morning. A friend who works there clued me in on this show. Fantasmic is my favorite show and the one at Disneyland is way better than WDW Hollywood studios. It's the intimacy and the fact they take an existing location and make it into magical night time spectacular it is. I'm a professional mascot and have always wanted to play Mickey in the show, especially at the end when he is on the roof conducting the fireworks and water. Can't wait for the new dragon and Flotsam and Jetsam!

Dang....I wish it wasn't a Thursday night. Maybe I'll try and book anyhow and surprise my DH???? It's a long drive home to Temecula at 10pm...but, if I can do it for an Angels game 81 times a year I certainly could do it for this!!!!

Ok I just got off the phone too, and they said the general public will be allowed to stay in the park the night of the 12th for F! then they will leave. Only the one 9pm show will be done that night. So I am going to take my chances and hope they dont put it on the DL schedule and the crowds will be lighter then normal and we can get a seat on the river. $240 is a bit much for me right now So if I miss it Thur I will do it Fri our last night.

We're in for a MP meet! I just finished making our reservations. I can not wait!

When we did PS for F! for the Tinkerteen's birthday in Feb, we loved it but I thought we'd only spring for it once a year. It's been three months, and here we are again!

The CM who took my reservation really got me excited about it. He explained that we were going to see the first showing of the new show (did I miss that somewhere?) and that the park would be closed, etc.

DisneylandDad, I suspect you're famous now. LOL The CM mentioned that he'd received a call from a guest concerned because he'd noticed after making reservations that the park would be closed at the scheduled F! time. I'm thinking that was you! Thanks for the heads-up. Can't wait!

$59 per person; includes a generous dessert box and all the beverages you can hold.

My hubby, the Tinkerteen and I went in February. We ended up with two full dessert boxes left to take to the hotel room -- there was so much in them!

OMGOSH!!! I am racking my brain trying to figure out if there is anyway for me to leave a day early? But alas there isn't we fly down on the evening of the 12th. There was only 1/2 a day avalible for vacation on Friday & then i would have to take Thursday. I just don't think the force is with me right now. It is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. My parents were told about a semi private party once in the 80's and we all stayed it what seemed to be an empty park. Think of the great picture ops you would have in a basicaly empty park.

Famous or Infamous is a matter of opionion

Remember, all Disney things are subject to change and even though I was told and it seems Tinkermommy was told that the park would be closed, I am not sure why DL would do this but am glad any way it turns out.
I am not too sure about running around the parks with the grad night crowds even if we are allowed to stay in the park if we choose to.
Growing up near DL and now as an adult, I have been to the park more times than I can remember but, we have never been to a first anything. We usually choose to stay away till the newness of something dies down. This time we seemed to be in the right place at the right time MAYBE. We had already planned our trip so we will see. We are up for meeting a few people as well, sounds like it would be fun.

Thanks for the info! I just booked a PS for the 11th.

The CM said that reservations for that night have been pouring in for the past hour. I told her I know why.

May I just say how nice it is to find people whose priorities are the same as mine...

I was on hold so long that I had visions of all the MP people calling at the same time...LOL!

A favor

Since my daughter is turning 6 while we will be at DL on June 7th I would not be surprised to have something come out of her mouth at F such as "thank you for coming to watch the F show for my bday" especially if we are meeting those of you from MP that will be at that particular 9:15 show on the 11th. I do not at all expect or even want anybody to play along, but it would be great if nobody corrected her. Kids will think what kids think and it would be great for her to think happy thoughts of her bday.
If anyone feels this is out of line, I apologize.

We think that would be fun. I say that, never having been to a MP anything before so I am not sure what they are like or how long they last. Our family will be there both of those dates but we will be at the F show on the 11th then Fri the 12th we will be at the 1st show of the EP. So for us those times are booked up.

We're booked for June 11 at 9:15.

Just a caution -- my Disneyland buddy called about an hour ago, and was able to get seats. However, when she initially asked about them, the CM said she thought they were sold out. It sounds like if they're not, it's getting close...

This is for the 11th at 915p. It is not listed on the Disneyland Website since it is a grad night. I found out from a friend that works at the park to book this (I assume whoever started this thread had some "inside information" as well. The 12th is the first scheduled show for the public with showings at 9p and 1030p. I for one like to be above that as do the rest of you on here I am sure! I'll gladly play along for DisneylandDad and Chloe. My 5year old Savannah is REALLY looking forward to this.
