So who is in for the 2013 Tower of Terror 10 Miler? I'll be there - I have a score to settle with a certain speed bump from the inaugural event!

    Haven't decided, since it's not a half-marathon distance.

I did the inaugural ToT (when it was 15K? I don't remember) already. My challenge is that I'll be flying out there for the Wine & Dine half, and possibly to help out with MouseAdventure as well. That's a lot of trips.

Very true - perhaps in year 5? Some trips are better to save until a special anniversary medal.

The first ToT was 13k and they also had a 6.5k.

I've decided to pass. I checked my credit card balances today and I don't need to add the ToT trip to it as well.

I am in! I am registered, just got off the phone with Disney and have purchased my park tickets and made my hotel reservations. ONly things left to do are to book airfare when that becomes available and MNSSHP tickets.

It is unique. Unfortunately, due to the fall at 8.5 miles, I didn't get to enjoy all the after-party and rides as I was in visiting the medics. On the plus side, I did manage to finish and have that wonderful ToT medal.

What does the medal look like now? DH and I ran the inaugural one when it was a 13K, and the medal was a little small for a runDisney event, but it had a little elevator that moved up and down the tower!

It looks pretty similar to the 13K medal but I believe it is bigger. The moving elevator is just awesome!

It's pretty much exactly the same medal, a few different paint details, different ribbon.

Sadly, my old medal is tarnishing. Anyone have any suggestions?

Is it turning dark or ...?

Thomas guesses from looking at the online pictures that the medal may be pewter if it is tarnishing. You can check out how to remove tarnish from pewter here (it involves baking soda).
