Last Oct. 08, we were stuck on POC twice, the first time we were escorted and handed fastpasses to any ride, the ones they write out, the second time we were told to rock our boats back and forth. We eventually went down the first little drop and everything went well.......the first time we made it to the second drop and then we were escorted through the exit on the left hand side. It was cool to see the inside, there was a group of cast members enjoying their lunch, and it seemed to be a small cafe?! some lockers and a whole lot of movement, I wouldnt have guessed all the things that went on internally.

Does getting stuck on the tram count? I was held hostage on a tram coming into the DTD area for about 20 minutes because there was construction on half of it and trams were backed up, so we were just sitting there, mere feet away from where we would be parking, but we couldn't get off until we actually got to the tram unloading.

I was sending messages asking for Jack Bauer to come rescue me, and my dinner companions were patiently waiting for me.

We were walked off of Splash in August. Our log stopped just before the first drop. When instructed to do so we all hopped out, and my husband promptly rang the bell that's in front of Brer Bears Den! haha, bet not many 'regular' guests have had that opportunity! Walking the back staircases and behind the scenes etc was clearly the highlight of our trip! Anyone can ride the ride, but it takes sheer luck (good or bad depending on how you look at it) to walk off a ride midway through!

In 2006 we got stuck on Pirates, right before the last climb up. We were stuck for almost 20 minutes and if anyone didn't know the song then, they knew it by heart by the time they got off.

Me and DH's sister were escorted off Space Mountain in 2007. The ride stopped at the very top of the ride, after you go through the tunnel and right before you start plunging down the ride. We were at the back of the car and were leaning backwards. The lights came on and all of us starting freaking out... it's quite a ways down Naughty me, I took out my video camera and filmed the inside of SM. It was really neat seeing it with the lights on. I hate rollercoasters and if SM was not in the dark I probably wouldn't ever get on it.

We yelled for about 15 minutes and still no one came. We were yelling "HELP!" "GET US OFF!!" Finally, castmembers came to get us off. It was scary because the back of the car was not next to the platform so we had to climb over the seats in front of us and then jump. Then we walked down through the tunnel. They gave us a fastpass good for any ride after some of us started complaining. I was bummed cuz I really wanted to ride SM and that was our last day

My wife and I went to Disneyland probably 6-7 years ago now and we went on Space Mountain. About halfway through it stopped and we got stuck. We sat there for 15 minutes and they finally got it going again.

Later that day we decided to try it again. This time it stopped again. After a 15-20 minute wait the lights came on and we were escorted off. Its kind of scairy to see when the lights are on in there. At that time the roof was all water stained and such.

The next day we go back and decide to try it again. We laughed about going on it saying well 3rd time will be the charm. Well I suppose it was as it stopped AGAIN while we were on it and after probably a 30 minute wait we were escorted off again. We complained to the CM that this is the third time its broken on us in the 3 times we were on it. He got us some vouchers for free shirts which was pretty nice and a voucher for a free meal each. I thought that was pretty cool.

Years and years ago, my family and I got stuck on the Peoplemover. As we were riding along, some stupid teen in the car in front of us reached out for a telephone that was just inside one of the buildings we were passing by (Circlevision, I think). He managed to knock the receiver off the hook. About five seconds after he did that, the Peoplemover stopped. Good job, kid. Actually, it was probably just a coincidence, but the fact that it happened so quickly after that could be seen as divine intervention from Disneyland itself. The message: Don't try to mess things up around here!

We were up there for about five minutes before some cast members escorted us off. The ride was nearly over anyway. We got to walk down the Peoplemover track in the center of Tomorrowland. They offered us the chance to get ahead in line on Space Mountain, but we were quite young at the time and Space Mountain probably would have been rough for us. Frankly, I don't think any of us consider getting stopped up there a bad memory, although we did jokingly call it the "Peoplestopper" for a while.

I've been stuck & walked off of on POTC, Splash Mountain, Matterhorn, & Space Mountain. We got the passes each time this happened. Kind of neat to see everything with the lights on too.

Eek! Stopped on a Ride

I'm happy to say it has only happened to me once, on the Haunted Mansion.

We didn't even have to get out, things just started moving a little while after their "Evil Spooks have interfered with our operations" speech.

As cool as it could be in some ways to see backstage, I prefer the illusion/ magic of the rides when their working

POTC 10 years ago, we were stuck where the cats are for 20-30 minutes.

Rocket Rods 3 times in a 5 day stay 2 of which were return passes after being stuck on it, I unfortunately came to hate this ride. Then sometime there after it was closed for good.

Monorail last year right over the ticket booths for about 5-10 minutes.

Haunted Mansion last Dec, after kids that were in front on us kept leaning out of the Doombuggies and touching things, while one person kept filming it with the light on. I was annoyed but after they had warned them twice the ride came to a stop and they were taken off. We watched the ghosts pop up and down from the graveyard with no sounds, except the hydraulic air sound (I think that is what it was).

Indiana Jones in Feb right at the end where the ball is. It went dark and the jump kept jolting around with no sounds for 5 minutes then stopped and we finished the rest of the ride with no sounds, they shut down the ride after we were outside.

We got stuck on Small World for about 20 mins right after my mom said that it would be horrible to get stuck on that ride. DH swore he'd never ride it again (at least it was the holiday music!) but that changed when DD came along. Now he rides and prank calls friends from the boat.

We got stuck on the parking tram in early October. Nobody seemed to know why all the trams were told to stop immediately and we sat for at least 30 minutes with our barely potty trained 2yr old. Thank goodness we had some pull-ups along.

Some friends of ours got stuck on Grizzly last Feb. Bad enough they had to wait for a few minutes - then some idiot decided he couldn't wait, got out of his raft and started to 'climb' down - next thing they all had to sit tight while they DRAINED the ride because of this guy (don't know particulars).

Otherwise we've been on the train when it's died right by the station in ToonTown, and once on Haunted Mansion for about five minutes.

Big Thunder a few years ago for me... it was on the steep climb and we had to sit there until the cast members got to us. It became hard to hold your head up sitting at that angle. We got to walk down the steps (next to the track) and out. I still hold my breath up that part waiting for it to happen again!

Almost forgot we were stuck about 15 minutes in the hot sun on Grizzley. It was where the belt takes your raft up the long hill. But the ride got started again, no walk off.

We'd coincidentally gone to Disneyland at the same time as my 7 year old son's baseball coach. I arranged to meet up with them. They were going over to CA Adventure so we tagged along and my son suggested we all go on Grizzley together.

So here we are stuck in the raft and my son's coach says "Who wanted to go on this ride?" and we all point to my son. He took it well. Later on the ride we got geysered. Again "Whose idea was this?" and we all pointed.

After we got off the ride, the coach joked "I hope you've enjoyed playing the in-field, because you're in the outfield from now on!"

The great part was that my fairly sensitive 7 year old understood the jokes and laughed right along with them. He even came to me after the next baseball game and said "I knew coach Ray was joking, he didn't make me play in the outfield for even one inning!"

I had the experience in 2005 on Splash where it completely shut down right before we were to go up the incline before the slide down. They stopped us....the sound discontinued, and a couple of CM's escorted us out through the backstage. I always wanted this to happen! To me, it was as much of a thrill as going on the attraction.

As was mentioned, it was weird seeing the animatronics moving without sound. And as they escorted us backstage, they warned us not to take any photos back there. We noticed CM's relaxing in break areas, having snacks, etc. Unlike a previous post, we received nothing from the park in lieu of this happening, but like I said, it was surreal. I loved it.

Ran into a tram jam tonight and the Jungle Cruise was backed up with boats clear back to Sam. It was the wheelchair boat being unloaded. Tram was way backed up and we were on the finall turn into the circle and stopped. Someone tried to exit, lol.

A month ago we stopped four times on the Haunted Mansion. Years ago we dangled from the sky tram (can't remember the official name) which was scary. Not a fan of heights to begin with let alone just sitting there for what seemed liked hours!

Oh yeah!

Toy Story- This was sorta cool because it was right at the end. I think we were the next car to unload. We were stuck about 15 minutes and then we got re-ride passes! Sweet!

Big Thunder- We got stuck right as you go up the hill by the gear hidden Mickey. WE got walked off and trailblazed through the ride. That was interesting. We got re-ride passes good for any ride which we used later for the Matterhorn.

Pinocchio- Again, sorta at the end so not too exciting but we were walked off.

Pirates- Two trips in a row for like 30 minutes each. Once were were the next group to unload and once we were in the last room. They eventually turned off the music but we never unloaded- just waited. We were not given re-rides either time.

Space Mt- I was really little, like 6. My sister was 4 and to this day she will tell you it stopped because she was screaming and crying so hard. I know, so not true! We finished it slowly in the light. We were offered to ride again but my sister and I were terrified so my parents declined!

Space Mountain July 2005 before it opened from the rehab of 2 plus years. It stopped two turn before the end. The work light came on and the the cast members pushed us the rest of the way. They didn't ask if like to ride again I guess since it was only soft opening before it opened back again

Got stuck on Space Mountain 30yrs ago. Our car stopped right next to one of the phones. Just for grins and giggles,I 'was' going to pick it up and say, "I'd like to order a pepperoni pizza, and no anchovies please",but with my luck the ride would have started back up and I would have ended up giving the hand set to a CM back at the loading area. We walked out of the ride instead.

I was thinking that I had nothing to contribute, because I haven't been walked off a ride (and getting stopped for wheelchair loading on Haunted doesn't count, IMO). But then I remembered New Years Eve many years ago.

We were on Pirates, stopped at the gate right before the first drop, and the gate wasn't opening. A CM came to our boat and looked at it and at us. He decided that the reason why the gate wasn't opening was possibly because it was too heavy and asked a very large person/couple (I don't recall which) if they would get off. They were VERY embarrassed but complied. This didn't fix the problem.

After some time, the CM discovered that a previous visitor had lost their New Years Eve party hat on the drop and it had managed to land on the sensor. It wouldn't open for the next boat, since it thought there was still one going down. He removed the hat and the sensor went back to normal.

I don't recall if the fat couple were placed back into the boat at that time or taken back to get on a later one just to be safe. We didn't get any compensation for being stuck and since we were the affected boat I found it interesting, not annoying. But if I had been in one of the other boats and didn't know why the ride had stopped, or especially if I had been the people asked to get off, I would have been upset.

We did get a return pass once when Toy Story Mania broke down right before we were supposed to load. It would have been annoying to wait through the whole line for nothing, except it the wait hadn't been too bad and they made it non-expiring (usually they need to be used the same day) so we came back with my parents and used the pass on a day when we otherwise wouldn't have been willing/able to wait through the line.
