That would be very nice wouldn't it? Maybe when the crowds hit WoC, it will thin out some for F! ... hopefully

Could you imagine if people tried (what am I saying?...people will do this) to watch both WoC and Fan!? Talk about a stampede.

I would think they would run WOC about 9PM. That would ease the crowds for the first showing of Fantasmic and the fireworks. We'll see.

Well, for the first couple of months, it won't be an issue, as Fantasmic! will be dark due to the draining of the Rivers of America for regular maintenance.
Now, in June, if DCA is still having major crowd issues due to the World of Color show, I can see some serious scheduling in advance by TDA, similar to moving the Celebrate! Un-Parade the last few days of Mickey's Trick or Treat to end prior to DCA closing and forcing a lot of folks into Disneyland and Main Street. Disney will do its best to make sure it is impossible to see both shows. I know in the past, Disney has done things like seriously undermanning the Disneyland turnstiles after the Electrical Parade to restrict the entrance of guests onto Main Street to a trickle to help with crowd control issues. Heck, I can see Disney timing the end of the World of Color to end somewhere about the time of the end of the Fireworks show, the main drawback here is the rush of guests trying to leave both parks at the same time to get back to their cars, causing major issues with Trams and Shuttles loading. But you can tell Disney is thinking about the issues right now with things like thinking about Showpasses to limit the lines for the WOC shows. But yes, next summer looks like big messes all day long, starting with trying to park in the morning.

I'd say the compass in front of the castle's just the right size for a helicopter landing pad. What do you think?

Every Day Is Disneyland Day!

So will you not be able to see the show at all from anywhere other than the seating area? I'm confused. Will they not allow people to stand along the water side all the way around the pond?

Do we know if the show will be visible from any of the hotels? I know that paradise pier had a good view of the lagoon is it still good or has it changed with the new GCH wing? Cause I would just love to watch it from a hotel and not worry about crowds at all, nice cup of hot cocoa and a cookie and only my family around me. Any one know if this is possible?

yes you will be able to see the show from other areas besides Paradise Pier Plaza and Park. If Disney does a showpass it will just be to control the crowds within the new viewing area and to control people from laying out blankets hours before the show. They are not doing it to minimize lines of people forming to see the show or to minimze the amount of people that will see the show. Aside from the new tiered viewing area there will be other areas where people will be able to see the show from with minimal obstructions. |

Also the trattoria does not have any visible views of the bay that would allow them to charge for priority seating. The tratorria is on the bottom level of the winery. The restaurant on the second floor is suppose to be reconfigured but that also has limited views of the bay. The foliage around the restuarant as well as the new foliage that is added and will be added around Paradise Plaza would give guests from the restuarant a bad view of the show. |

I believe the priority seating is being considered for the bottom level of Ariel's grotto, the cove bar would have a terrible visiblity and seating capacity.

I am surprised that they did not consider a two tiered restaurant for the soon to be remodeled food garden. Better yet they should had considered removing the jumping jellyfish along with the now cleared back area of rustworthy and the sand pit area next tot he zephyr. That area would had been perfect for a restuarant with a second floor open air seating area that could have doubled as a viewing area. That would had given them a chance to remove the burger invasion building. That area along with the mullholland Madness pad and the Dino pad would had given them a large plot of land for another large attraction. The jumping jellyfish could have been relocated between the old souvenir 66 shop and Mermaid building. It could have been a nice secluded sea themed garden for an Ariel meet and greet. Lots of rockwork large plants and water features |

I don't think the new Paradise Garden area will have a good view at all...you'd be looking at the show from the side and miss most if not all of the back screen, which plays a major part in the show.
[brilliant idea]How cool would it be if the new TLM show building had a balcony a la The Disney Gallery? That'd be some prime seating...[\brilliant idea] Maybe someone's listening

I'm just going to hover over it and watch from my helicopter.
I may make a prime seating for under it. Strapped in a comfy harness for two, enjoy the brilliance of color from a vantage point like no other! Dessert will be served, feel free to eat what you can catch. Coffee or hot chocolate upon request.
