I'm not even convinced it's a glitch, Cathy. I think THEY think they can further up the occupancy of their restaurants if they not only keep every table filled but actually keep every SEAT filled. Very uncool, if true.

mom, while I do enjoy Le Cellier, I have to say that it's not really that stupendously incredible. They do a nice mushroom stuffed steak. And the breadsticks they serve - really mini-loaves of fresh bread - are delicious. I'm not totally wild about the atmosphere, kinda crammed in to a downstairs space, sitting almost shoulder to shoulder with the tables around you. But it is a pretty decent meal. I think the only reason it's become so popular is that back when the DDP started it was one of the few places to be single credit, so it booked up fast.

Dan,
Your post was interesting to me because I spent some frustrating time with the on-line ADR system this weekend. This system could be so much more user-friendly and functional than it is. I don't know about you, but what I want is to see all restaurant availability for the dates of my stay and then go from there. Kind of like searching on-line for flights and airfare. Instead, we get an on-line system that's like Battleship or Old Maid -- we guess at what might be there and then the system tells us if we guessed right. Frustrating! |

I agree. I'd like to tell the computer that I'm dining in or near Epcot on a certain date and time, and then see what's available. But the way it's structured, I have to go ahead and pick a restaurant and then see if it's available. At least the system will make suggestions at that point. But it still seems like a long way to go.
