I have no title-I'm a commoner
The Banger Sisters
I went and saw this movie last night with friends...
I wouldn't say it was the best movie I have ever seen...nor the worst...but it was entertaining.
The storyline can be very predictible and shallow at times...and adding the character of Harry Plummer played by Geoffrey Rush was unneccesary and made the storyline choppy at times. Although, the scenes with him were the more funny scenes of the movie...except for the scene with the pictures. Too funny.
While I think the movie was cute...wait until it is out on video...don't waste your $9.00 going to see it...

I disagree about waiting for the video. I thought it was an excellent movie and would definitely recommend it. No, the story isn't entirely original, but nowadays, I'm not as interested in how original the story is so much as how well it's executed. I thought all the performances were absolutely stellar. The casting of Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon was perfect. And I think Geoffrey Rush stole the show in his scenes. I like him more and more every time I see him. The trailers make the film out to be much more of a "chick movie" than I think it really is. I don't think you even know from the trailers that Geoffrey Rush is in it.
The entire polaroid sequence was great.

Thanks for the reviews both of you. I'm torn as to whether I want to spend the money on this one or on the one with Goldie's daughter Kate(4 Feathers). Time is limited and so are my pockets so we'll see. It's entirely possible that I'll have to wait for both of them...grrr.
To DL or not to DL September 2010-that is the question....
I am also torn. I love all of the main character actors.

The only thing that might decide for me is that '4 Feathers' seems like it would be awesome to see on a big screen, with the types of scenes it has.
If I get lucky, our local 3 for 1 theater will have them showing together someday. But like I have time to sit through 3 movies, let alone 2. But it could happen.
Thanks for the reviews!!
