I saw Cary Grant in 1978 when he narrated the Candlelight Procession concert. He had white hair and thick black glasses. I had heard his name and knew he was a movie star, but I hadn't seen any of his movies by that time. Oh sorry, I just realized I posted this earlier in the thread.

I saw Lady Gaga and her entourage of security guards there on a trip at the end of July. She had 2 tour guides and some 7 or 8 BIG guards. They were over by the train depot in New Orleans waiting for the next train.

She was sitting on the little brick wall wearing an all while sweat outfit that had a bright pink lining, her hoodie was up so you could only see the bangs of her bright blonde locks, and she had on big bug eye sunglasses. Mind you, this was July, 90 degree weather and she was covered up in sweats.

Me, I was chasing down a CM with a pin lanyard. As I walked by I glanced at her, then did a double take. She looked at me and seemed to kind of cautiously watch me keep walking on after I did the double take. I thought "That was Lady Gaga. Cool." Lol.

Do you have ANY clue what would happen in lines if Kobe Bryant was in line? How about if the Sprouse twins were in line? You seriously think they could just walk through the line with their families and no one would harass them?

They don't pull the "A List Card", generally Disney does that because of the hysteria that occurs when they arrive. I know guides who escort some of the bigger names, and the stories they tell about how guests act when they see the stars is so scary. It would be nice if they could enjoy the park like everyone else.

I agree with you Mal.. Back in June when we did F! premium viewing for the summer promo, we saw selina gomez and a couple other disney channel stars (mind you I had no idea who there were except for the fact that a bunch of kids were gawking and taking pics so I asked DD who they were) We just kinda stood back and watched, but as soon as they were done with the interview they put on their hoodies to hide their faces. As they were leaving with their entourage I said to DH, that I really feel sorry for them not having the anonymity that we have....

I suppose it would be a little easier for some to do than others if they really wanted to. Like Selina for instance, attach a decent wig, some bug eye sunglasses, maybe a clip on nose ring... you'd never know. But for Kobe... being as tall as he is... yeah probably not a chance.

I remember an episode of 'Hogan Knows Best' where they put some make-up on the family and they were able to let them roam Universal Studios (or somewhere like that) all day without being recognized. They actually started getting upset because they COULDNT use their status to cut the line when some of the rides were an hour wait. So you never know, maybe they prefer not to be anonymous at times.

Ok so they don't cut the line but they use the handicap line none of them wait as long as the normal folk would. I like the comment below about dressing up so no one knows who you are or rent the park out.
I saw a celeb last night walking around Downtown Disney for Gay Days al ot of people were yelling they loved him but no one walk up to him.

Yesterday, we rode on the same Big Thunder train as Noah Wylie and his little daughter.

Today, we had breakfast at Storytellers Cafe, and Jon Favreau was there with his family, celebrating his birthday.

Now different is nice, but it sure isn't pretty, pretty is what it's about
I never met anyone who was different who couldn't figure that out
But beautiful, I'd never live to see
But it was clear, if not to her, well, then to me.

Anyone can hire personal escorts from the park and go in the front of the lines. I have seen celebrities at the parks being low key, without a lot of fanfare. But they take a risk in doing so. It's just easier for Disney to establish a policy where they can be accommodated and reduce the amount of chaos they may bring, and that policy is open to anyone who wants to pay for it.

When my 7 year old DD and I were at DL back in September (I think it was the 12th) after the fireworks we were coming around the castle when I nearly ran into Nicolas Cage. There was a plaided CM about 5 feet in front of him.

And what did I say? "Oh my gosh, your Nicolas Cage!"

    He just smiled.

And what did my daughter say? "Who is Nicolas Cage?"

    And he laughed.

Actually, hiring the personal escorts (ie VIP guide) will not get your to the front of the line. However, the guides are very good about making sure you have fastpasses to everything. While you are on ride A, they will be at ride B getting a pass for you. They know the patterns of wait times and can call to find out how long waits are, so they can get you through the lines as quickly as possible. They will also go ahead of you to get tables for meals, they can plan spots for parades and fireworks, and it can be a good deal. We have done VIP tours many times.

We were then too! Didn't see him. We were watched the fireworks from ROA after F! that night. Then mistakenly tried to wade through the see of people by the Golden Horseshoe (wanted to get to BTMRR). We gave up and headed to Tomorrowland instead.

My fiance saw Jerry Mathers, from Leave It To Beaver, at the Pizza Port this past Friday evening. He was wearing a hat with side flaps, so I couldn't tell if it was him, but she insists it was. He was sitting with a group of people. Perhaps someone knows if he's a frequent park visitor.

When we were there last weekend, I wasn't sure but I thought I saw Mickey Mouse. It walked by but he was wearing a top hat and tails, so I couldn't see his face too well... but my wife swears up and down it was him. She whispered "That's Mickey Mouse!" and I looked back over my shoulder just in time to see him chuckle and walk away.

Could you imagine the comotion it would cause if he visited the park, plain clothed with no security? My goodness!!

Tommy lasorta sighting at Napa Rose

My mother and I went to Napa Rose (I think it was either one or two years ago) and Tommy Lasorta was celebrating his 80th birthday in the back dining room.
I was walking to the women's restroom but was stopped due to two men talking with their backs towards me. "Excuse me. May I pass by?" I said. The two men turned to me and my jaw dropped! It was Tommy Lasorta and a friend. I was too afraid to say anything so I just grinned like a idiot as they let me pass.
When I got back to the table, I whispered "I just saw Tommy Lasorta! He's back by the women's restroom!" Well, maybe I didn't whisper it because the surrounding tables stopped and spun around in their seats. The place soon was buzzing with the news but luckily no one got up to bother Tommy.
About ten minutes passed and everyone went back to their dinners. The man who was sponsering the birthday party (can't for the life of me remember his name) came out of the back room, and announced he wanted all of us to help Tommy celebrate his 80th birthday. This man had purchased one of those three foot bottles of red wine (I think it's called a magnum?) and proceeded to have all the waiters pour glasses of this delicious wine and pass them out to all the adults. Tommy was called out into the main dining room and the entire room toasted him. Tommy was so gracious, giving a speech and allowing some pictures to be taken.

At the time I was mortified because he is one of my favorite actors. And I finally "meet" him and I say something so stupid and my DD (who has seen National Treasure) says what she said! I just kept walking (more like sprinted.)

But after it all processed (back at the hotel), I was laughing.

Princess - It was probably closer to 11pm as we rode the Tea Cups right after the fireworks and then headed to the exit. I think there was 3-4 people with him plus the plaid vest guide.

Just had lunch with Adam Sandler and Allen Covert and I assume thier wives and kids at Ariel's Grotto. Well not exactly lunch with but we were at the next table. They were there celebrating Adam Sandlers daughters birthday. Appeared to be pretty normal people. The guys even went and changed the diapers. We did not bother them but a few people tried to and the two guys seemed to act pretty gracious even though they were there for a kids birthday.

I also ran into Nicholas Cage outside Storytellers Cafe at the Grand Californian in 2002. He was very nice. He seems to be a park regular of some sorts (National Treasure may have something to do with it). Also saw Anna Nicole Smith (RIP) accompanied by the largest group of bodyguards, lackeys, and handlers I've ever seen.
