While at the park today, we saw Stephen Hawking and his family. He rode the King Arthur's Carousel the time before I got on and was being escorted thru Fantasyland.
It was truly an honor to see such a spectacular man.
You reach a point where you don't work for money.
Walt Disney
AKA mrs motomickey
He was lecturing at USC on Tuesday. Very cool that he got to go to Disneyland!
He must be a fan because I saw him there (in Tomorrowland which was very cool) about 10 years ago. Huge thrill.
Oh man, that would have made my day seeing Professor Hawking. That's fantastic.
I was lucky enough to get tickets to see Prof. Hawking speak at ASU in a few weeks (April 6) at a symposium on the origins of the universe. I am so excited about this event. Maybe I will ask him about his Disneyland trip. Heh.
Way back in the 90's I saw Reggie Jackson (shmuck) right outside of POTC. While I now understand how immature this is, I yelled out "Look, there's Reggie Jackson" and people flocked to him. You see, he snubbed me for autographs on several occassions as a child (and huge fan) when he played for the 'California' Angels. This was my pitiful attempt at paybacks!
I'm pretty sure we also saw Pat Morito (Karate Kid) there last year. My DH is better at spotting celebs...I just get too overwhelmed by all of the Disney 'Magic' with my kids to even care about celeb sitings!

Cruising the Fantasy Dec. 12-22 followed by Christmas at WDW!
How do you like your kindle?
Uh, it's an iPad.
"I'm pretty sure we also saw Pat Morito (Karate Kid) there last year."
That would have been quite a feat to see Pat Morita last year in Disneyland since he died on November 24, 2005. Unless you saw him in the Haunted Mansion.
A Disneyland guest since 1956.
LOL....Well, I guess it wasn't him then...maybe his twin. Oops!

Barack Obama was on It's A Small World at Disneyland when I was there for my B-day last week!
I got a video snippit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE3SHqF23DY

Be Nice or Leave![]()
that was cute! Wonder if he will do that when he comes to CA soon.
Now different is nice, but it sure isn't pretty, pretty is what it's about
I never met anyone who was different who couldn't figure that out
But beautiful, I'd never live to see
But it was clear, if not to her, well, then to me.
blah blah blah blah
You guys r soo funny! The obama video was cute! You actually made me look!
2nd time poster here!
We saw Wilmer Valderama (sp?) at DCA on 12/6/08; he was with a plaid and a bunch of very large body guard types and some girls. He was sitting on a bench right in front of us! My mom and husband didn't believe me until we went back to the GC and our girls were watching Disney Channel and he was on there for something Handy Manny!
We also saw Tyra Banks coming into the GC as we were leaving the day of Miley's 16 Bday bash.
We saw Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin, and kids on Sunday 3/29, next to Splash Mountain.
Planning for a trip in summer 2013! That will be 3 years since I've been, very excited to see all the newness
Last year we saw Connie Stevens and Joely Fisher with the grandkids on the merry go round next to California Screamin. We took picutres and video from a long way off, but Connie didn't look to happy. I just love her and she still looked great!
Ahh celeb's...
Okay, so maybe not as "famous", relative to other celebrities...but we saw Jerry Rice last Monday entering DCA from the GCH. Pretty funny how we noticed it was him--we were waiting to get our tickets scanned for re-entry, my wife was at the gate with the stroller; then we saw a tour guide CM lead a small group of folks through the gate (one within the group was on a motorized transport). I didn't immediately recognize the tall black guy standing by the gate waiting for the rest of his group to pass through, but my wife did.
LOL--the CM scanning our tickets had asked me as to who the guy was, as clearly he didn't recognize him at all.
1/10/09 Cole and Dylan Sprouse from Disney Channel's "Suite Life on Deck/Suite Life of Zack and Cody" walking in the Hollywood Backlot area of DCA.
3/8/09 Ricki Lake and family playing hoops over in the Paradise Pier area of DCA (by the Jumping Jellyfish area).
4/11/09 Adrian Grenier from "Entourage" walking down Main St. with a Plaid vested escort.
I was working the other night and we saw Cody Linely from Hannah Montana. He was there with a bunch of his friends, they all ordered hot chocolate and junk food... he just got a coffee. lol.
Mother's Day,
We saw Callista Flockhart (we think) at Pooh Bear and then at the GCH going into Storytellers.
More exciting, we saw Kenny Ortega (HSM director) at DL sitting down to eat with his family. My husband pointed him out; I was so impressed! Our girls were in shock!
We also someone else, but didn't know who he was. Lots of tattoos; the dad in front of us on Buzz yelled to him.
Travis Barker was there last Sat night w/ the kids.

We saw Callista inside Storytellers on Mothers Day. She was waiting for the rest of her party and stopped at our table. I was excited because I love the show Brothers and Sisters. My husband just wanted to know if Harrison was with her. (which he wasn't.)
Going since 1977...No "celebs", ever.
Not that I would recognize them, though.
