    Favorite Restaurant in Downtown Disney...

We always try to dine at least once in DTD. So far we've been to RB's Jazz Kitchen & Tortilla Jo's, also ate at a Rainforest Cafe, but not at Disney. So I was curious what your favorite DTD eatery is & what you recommend from the menu? We're open to all types of cuisine. Thanks!

I love the chicken ceasar salad at the ESPN zone. Sit in the recliners up front in the bar, sooo comfy and cool on a hot day. I also liked the Rainforest Cafe a bit pricey though we spent almost $200 on 3 people last time.

We don't eat at DD as much as we used to, so things may have changed a bit, but we've had REALLY great meals at Catal in the past. I'd definitely recommend it!

For quick service, I LOVE the little counter service place next to Naples (I think it's called Napolini). The best Mac & Cheese on the planet! (Not just for little kids--this stuff is great). I could go on & on about this place--love the salads, love the paninis. DH isn't thrilled with the pizza, and the seating is almost non-existent, but the food is GREAT.

    Naples also has great food!

[derail]Have you tried the mac and cheese on the kids menu at Catal? Yum, especially with short ribs on them...[/derail]

My two favorite places are always Napa Rose and Catal.
Now different is nice, but it sure isn't pretty, pretty is what it's about
I never met anyone who was different who couldn't figure that out
But beautiful, I'd never live to see
But it was clear, if not to her, well, then to me.

We LOVE Rainforest. It's so fun. The other one I enjoy eating at is Naples. We haven't explored a lot of the restaurants there, but those 2 are yummy.

I like Tortilla Joe's. The food is good, fairly authentic for Mexican and reasonably priced. They have a very nice patio, and if the nearby fountain is going, you can watch the kids freak out when it blasts water into the air.

I've read differing opinions regarding Rainforest Cafe, but we love it. The food doesn't stand out to me, but the novelty of the atmosphere gets us. (We've never been to another RC.) Plus, the drinks and souvenir glasses are kind of fun! For food (not to mention TVs in the bathroom stalls), we were pleased with ESPN Zone.

    My quick reviews!

Here is a list of places my family and I have eaten at in DD and a brief review. (IMHO)

Rainforest Cafe- Long wait, poor service, exciting atmosphere, waaaay too overpriced for the serving sizes they serve.

Naples- Moderately priced, good food. Usually pretty busy, try not to sit outside if you can help it...too cold!!! Brr!!

ESPN Zone- Really good food, cool atmosphere. You can enjoy the arcade upstairs while you wait to be seated. A little expensive, but worht it. And the TV's in the toilet stalls are BA!!

Jazz Kitchen- We've eaten there once and have never gone back! Waaay too pricey! The food was okay, and not a great selection. I think DL has better gumbo!!

La Brea Bakery- I absolutely love this place for breakfast! It's cafteria style and the quiche is to die for!!!
