Thread: best food item?

    best food item?

I was just sitting here wondering about all of you faithful WDW goers and what you all would consider a must eat everytime you go to the parks. I have read quite a few posts on favorite restaraunts but I want to know a favorite item, one that when thought of reminds you of WDW, or when you think WDW you think of that food. Just curious, thanks!

    • Mickey Bar (but I only get to get one on longer trips!)
    • Dole Whip Float
    • Strawberry Bar from the same carts that have Mickey Bars - I always seem to get one in the Animal Kingdom, and they really hit the spot!

Mrs. GusMan would say the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar.
Me? Well, I finally got to try a Dole Whip and I am hooked. Its my choice for best non-chocolate item.

The search function is like the Force. It may take practice, but the more you use it, the more control you will have over it!

My DH and I are addicted to those warm, cinnamon roasted almonds in Adventureland. (I've seen them elsewhere, too.) We can't walk by the cart without getting a bag or two to eat then and a couple more to take home... if they ever make it there.

I have to have a Kaki-gori from Japan, Roasted Almonds, a turkey leg, and for some reason chicken fingers just taste better in WDW. Now I'm hungry!

Now that I am 21 I really want to try this drink from Italy(I think?). It is pink and given in a champagne flute. Is it a Bellini? I always see people walking around the WS with it but not sure what it is and if it is from Italy.

A Kir Royale is obtainable at a kiosk in France - basically champagne with blackberry (?) liquer. (May not be blackberry - but I'm pretty sure it's some sort of cane berry)

BUT a Rosa Regale I'm pretty sure is obtainable in Italy and is yummilicious! It's a blush sparkling wine, but actually holds up well to chocolate, which really shocked me the first time I had it!

Peachy, not pinky. It's peach nectar and sweet dessert sparkling wine (like an asti). It's terrifically yummy. I had one during our trip in 05.

If you go during the Food & Wine Festival try the Irishcream Rasberry Truffle dessert. I had three of them and didn't feel the least bit guilty despite my wife's comments.

The cheese soup at Le Celier (Canada) and the chocolate euclares at the pastry shop in France (Chocolate Heaven!!!)

Ice cream at Beaches & Cream.

Wow, I don't think anyone had said chocolate mousse yet. That's a must do for us (and a pink- raspberry- one for my daughter)

The filet and mac& cheese at Jiko

    Mickey waffles

Worms in dirt-- getting harder to find

My vote goes to these hot, fresh little donuts we got at a stand in Blizzard Beach. They make them fresh, pour sugar on them and off you go with your little waxed paper bag. I can't remember the name of the place, but I bet someone here will know. They were SO good!

I enjoy a lot of the nicer restaurants in WDW, but I'll usually pick whatever looks good on the menu. But a must is always at the California Grill - the tamarind bbq marinated beef filet. Melt in your mouth cut with a fork YUMMMYYYY!!!
