AP Holder Rate Code "AP4" - Major Discounts!
Special Annual Passholder Hotel Rates
Keep the magic of the Theme Parks going all night long with a stay at one of our spectacular hotels! But hurry, because these special Annual Passholder rates are only available for a limited time!
Spend a night for as low as $149* from August 19 to September 1, 2007 or $129* from September 2 to December 15, 2007.
For reservations, call (714) 956-MICKEY and ask for rate plan "AP4."
My short story is that I had a room booked for 9 nights at the GCH with a DCA view at the standard 10% AP discount for a rate of $423 per night. I called back and gave the reservations agent my reservation code and the AP4 code. She came back and said that the room was now available for a price of $279 per night! And for another $30 per night I could upgrade to Concierge!
I am now paying $309 per night for a GCH room for 9 nights with Concierge! It is saving me about $1200 for the week (including tax) and I am now upgraded to Concierge! Woo!Hoo!

This sounds like a sales pitch from the marketing depatment, or whatever they call it. What other codes are available?
-
It's no sell pitch. I'm saving tons when we go. PP was 399 a night, now 149 for park view>

Yep...It's a conspiracy theory I tell you!
You seriously have trust issues.
No other codes, it's actually on the Disney website when you sign in with your AP and go to the "special offers" page. You can also go to Mousesavers.com or there is a thread on Micechat with other stories of people saving dough!
I turned another chatter on to it on Micechat on to it and she made a call and saved $1000 on her already made reservations in December!
Just trying to share a good deal with other MP'ers.

Its the normal AP code. Not sure why you are worried about it being a sales pitch. Same as with Hojos. The code for the AP discount at Hojos is LNAP. The rate code for Entertainment rate SD50. Every hotel has rate codes.

Not really the "NORMAL" code as the "normal" AP discount is only 10% and when I booked the reservation only a week ago I asked for the AP rate and they quoted me the $423 per night DCA view at the GCH. I called a week later and asked for the AP4 code and got the rate that I am now paying!
The reservations agent told me that they cannot give that rate to AP holders unless they specifically ask for it! This is why I made the thread!

By normal, I meant they usually use the AP4 code during the fall discount. The 10% AP is just AP.

Ahhh! I see. I think that I do remember a similar code last year now that you mention it.

So, do AP holders always get 10% off on hotels? I'm looking into getting a pass, even though I live quite a ways away, and that would be a biiiig factor in the decision...

AP holders get 10% off if occupancy is under 80% (I think that is the number) at the time you book. You also can get a discount of about 15% at Hojos.

Thanks for the info. That might have just pushed me over the edge!

Of the three DLR hotels, which one is considered the best (theming, luxury, amenities, proximity, etc.)?
-
Happily Ever After with my Prince.
Do they ever do an AP discount in Jan, Feb or March?

Thanks. If Im understanding this right, seems like the Fall AP discount is a better deal, is that right?

The best discounts that I have ever had, whether it is AP, 4th Night Free, or Expedia, all have been in the Fall.

Thanks for posting this. We're going Labor Day weekend for the 5K and were able to save about $50/night off of the rate we already had.
