    Fall 2007 MouseAdventure [October 14, 2007]

    What a happy day...

First we got the kids off for their first day of school and then we see that MA is confirmed for the only weekend we could make it! It really doesn't get any better than that!

Needless to say, The MA Staff Appreciation Society are in!

Are your kids in year-round school?

Sorry I'll miss seeing your triumphant rise to the top of the heap, but since I'm in Orlando the next weekend, there's no way I could make it.

Maybe I'll see you (all!) for the spring version!

When is it? I've been looking for a thread or an announcement...

Our school district is on a modified year round schedule. Many of the school districts here in AZ do it. We start the end of July and go through the Wed. after Memorial Day. We then get 2-2.5 weeks off in Oct, Dec-Jan, and March. It makes for great traveling in October. Everyone is back in school and the parks are usually pretty empty. Besides, you can only do so much with the kids in the AZ heat during the summer. They were starting to climb the walls, so it was really good timing!

Sorry I'll miss seeing your triumphant rise to the top of the heap, but since I'm in Orlando the next weekend, there's no way I could make it.
Triumphant rise? Oh please! The funny thing is...we'll be at WDW from 9/30-10/10! We're going to be on Disney overload by the end of MA! I'm just hoping we're not completely fried after 10 days away with the kids. At this point, I'm just hoping not to embarrass myself.

    Thank you, Steph!

I usually come to the boards directly (mousepad.mouseplanet.com). I looked under the "MouseAdventure" tab, but didn't see it -- hadn't even thought to look at the Disneyland Update page.

I had a suggestion, after the last MA's discussion of the time being used while waiting for the results. This wouldn't have worked previously but since you have a ballroom with speakers and overhead, why couldn't the time be used to review the quests? Everyone's there and it's fresh in your mind rather than waiting until things get posted.

I laughed out loud when I read this one. Though I am surprised it came from the VP of your team and not the Prez [And that's a 'with you' not an 'at you' laugh, too!]

Speaking as another person who needs to analyze things, the only issue I see with this is there might be too much 'discussion' that needs to go on, and I'd be concerned about the whole thing turning into mass chaos. I think it could be controlled, though. Maybe if it was 'just the answers' then it might be ok, then the small groups could 'discuss amongst themselves' how that answer was derived.

True - I think even if the answers were just written and put in the screen it would be helpful, well at least for my obsessive team member. It saves me from having to listen to the discussion for days and days on what could have possibly gone wrong (that's for Swanie )

Drince so sad you won't make it this go round. Who will I drive back to the hotel with???

I'm not sure whether I'll be able to make it or not since I will be trekking west about 3 weeks prior to MA. But we'll see (I know y'all are just DYING to know).

    Hmmm...maybe a 10 day early 40th birthday present?

Okay, I know this is a very elementary question, but what IS MouseAdventure?

My team is stoked and ready to go! We are renaming ourselves to The Scramblers... sorry Uncle Jesse fans! This may make for three trips in four weekends!

Argh, one of my teammates will be out of state that weekend. The rest of my team will need to figure out what to do, but thanks for posting the date!!

We cancelled our cruise (not just because of this) so we will be there. Our seventh MouseAdventure (we just found all our pins so we know now) and we hope to do our best!

For the third time in a row we will be in Disneyland the weekend after Mouse Adventure. So it goes.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for Spring.
