Le Cellier or Artist Point?
We've eaten at Artist Point and LOVED it, but never at Le Cellier. We only have time to eat at one of these on this trip. Not taking cost into account, can someone who has eaten at both tell me which one to go with? I already have ADR at Artist Point, but I think I still have time to change it.

I think Artist Point is MUCH better than Le Cellier, but I'm sure you'll hear from others who think differently.
Artist Point has innovative cuisine using interesting ingredients and preparations. Le Cellier is just a steakhouse.

Also, are you looking for a romantic dinner, sans kids? Le Cellier will be more of a family dining spot. It's good, but, if you are looking for a quiet, more gourmet meal, I'd go for Artist's Point.

Do you want your left hand cut off or your right?
In an ideal world I would go to both but if you had to choose it depends what you are looking for (Are you a left hander or right hander?). If you want a more "fine dining" experience then I would go for Artist Point. If you want great steak (and to die for Cheddar Cheese soup) then Le Cellier is where you want to go.

Wow, hi Mary! LOVE your site and newsletters, by the way.
Good point, mom22gls and TempoNZ, we are traveling sans kids, probably our last trip to WDW on our own for a very long time. Leaving our toddler with his grandparents. We do really love the quiet, fine dining atmosphere of Artist Point. I've said in another thread that their filet made me cry, it was that good. But I've read so many glowing reviews about Le Cellier that I was wondering if we were missing something. We'll eat there eventually, but after hearing from you three, I'm wondering if we shouldn't stick with our old favorite on this trip. One day I'll get to try that Cheddar Soup...

I believe everyone knows how much I love Le Cellier as this in the only place I have eaten on every trip since 2002. It's also the first ADR I request on day 180!
With that said if I needed to pick just one I would say Artist Point. Le Cellier is a bit dark and there tend to be many kids. AP is brighter with fewer kids and has some foods that you just can't get anywhere else at Disney. That Buffalo Steak was to die for.... mmmmmm......

If I could only pick one, I would pick AP!

I have not even heard of Artist Point and now I'm going to have to research it for our next trip.
Anyway, our last full day at the World was spent at Epcot, and we had no ADRs. It was pretty rainy, but we had our ponchos. We were able to get a reservation in France, and decided to go use our fastpasses at Soarin' while we waited for our dinner time. We were walking by Le Cellier, and I just mentioned to DH that they were supposed to be really good, and that he should see if we could get in (it was just before 5 pm). Believe it or not, they took us as a walk-in right away! I still can't believe we got a walk-in table just like *that*! And yes, I had the cheddar cheese soup and it was fantastic. Even the kids tried it and liked it a lot.
So for those who say that ADRs are a must for all sit-downs, it's not necessarily the rule---we're proof of that.

We're going to spend Christmas at WDW!

My preference would be Le Cellier...but you may not be able to get in at this point. Le Cellier is one of the more popular Epcot restaurants but also the smallest.
It wouldn't hurt to call but I would definitely have a back up plan.
