Thread: Just Back

Thanks Sbnuggie! I knew it was HOT! We didn't watch the weather channel until the 6th, and we were glad we did so we could pack the ponchos. I feel even less wimpy about it knowing it was in the mid 90's. We were all pretty wilted by mid afternoon.

I said the same thing to my husband too, about the summer months. I had an opportunity to go the end of June with the dance studio I teach for (they are performing) but I cringed at the thought of the heat and crowds by then. So many times we looked at each other, shook our heads and said "imagine if the lines were long?"

I must say, the water parks were great, and we were blessed to have such sunny days the whole trip (except the awesome thunderstorm).

So we hit WDW during a little heat wave and we got a taste of what it's like during the summer months. I for one wouldn't want to be there during that time with a lot of people, would make for a very uncomfortable trip, IMHO.
I really wasn't trying to start any problems. I know before I lived in FL the heat and humity used to kill me when I came down on vacation. Now, well it's just a part of life. I just wanted to warn anyone who felt the heat this year in May was uncomfortable than it only gets worse and that I have experienced many days in May that were hotter in the past. However, I clicked your link and I'm not seeing where any record high temps. were tied. Yes, they do list highs on some days as 91-93 degrees, but if you actually click on those days and look at the hourly record it for was an hour or two in the late afternoon and some days I don't even see where it reached those high temps. But by then the humity had dropped down to about 30%. There are days in July and August where the temps are in the 90's and the humity is still up around 50- 60%. Yuck!

In the end - who cares? All that matters is that you had a great time and I certainly hope you and your families did.
