So What Does One Wear to a PotC Premiere?
My husband is taking me to the POTC premiere for our anniversary. (my best anniversary gift ever!) Since we have never been to anything like this (we live out of state) I was wondering - What does one wear to a Pirates premiere? Do people dress up or is it park casual or somewhere in between?
I know many of you are regulars at these & was hoping you can give me some insight.
Hope to see some of you there!

There is a good mix, some are casual, some are business casual and some get dressed up. A lot of folks like to use a Pirates theme.
Here are my Red Carpet photos from the POTC2 premiere.

Notice what the Non-celebrities are wearing. Anybody walking down the Red Carpet (except the Disney CM's working the event) are going to dinner and the movie. Many support staff, writers, editors and invited guests are in the photos.
Temperature is an issue. They provided blankets (free gift) on the bleachers in the past, you will be in the park from around 6 PM (where it could be hot/very warm) until Midnight or later, so you need to take that into consideration when picking an outfit.

Pants. Definitely wear pants.

Unless your husband paid $1500 for a ticket ($3000 for both of you) to actually attend the premiere, see the screening, and be able to go to the after-party, then it really doesn't matter what you wear honestly.
If your husband DID pay $3000 to attend the screening and the party, then I would "dress to impress".

Doesn't matter, not if you had to pay for your tickets. The people who got in free will be the ones on Channel 7 news and People magazine.
Dress for comfort. It may get cool, so bring a sweater or light wrap.
