I was in Chicago this past weekend with my family. My wife and I thought we would see Wicked. We got into Chicago Thursday night and I called Ticketmaster. They told me there were no tickets available. It was no big deal, we had already seen the show twice. Then my wife suggested The Color Purple. I didn't have much interest in seeing it, but I love the theatre and I figured, why not. I called back and got tickets for the next night.
Well, let me say I was glad Wicked was sold out. The Color Purple blew me away!! I had seen the movie and wasn't sure how it would work as a live stage show. It was an amazing expireience.
The Sets, Music, Book and most of all the Singing were amazing. I can't wait to see this show again!
