the last minute things I do before leaving the house is to (1)unplug the can opener, coffee maker, etc. (2) Turn down the heat if winter or close the reachable windows if open season (3) recheck for the nth time that I have the boarding passes, etc (4) triple check that everything is locked tight.
The easiest things to forget are sunglasses or reading glasses. Not easy to replace when prescription. I have a check list for the days ahead and one for the last minute.

If your an ipod person, then to charge it the night before, and if you have one a wall or car charger, cell phone charger, and cell phone. Digtal camera batteries / chargeer, digital camera, or disposable, and always recheck evey ticket that you have again. Have a Great trip!

Load the dishwasher and set for clean. Check all the doors and windows. If my dad wasn't going to housesit and keep the dogs, I'd swiffer and clean the house -- but my dad will just mess it up anyway -- nothing like coming home to a clean house. Bring quarters for washing machine. Charge cell phone. Write down the phone number of your credit card company in case yours is lost or stolen; bring and hide an extra credit card, just in case. Probably too late to cash in any Disney rewards points you have, if you have a Disney Chase Visa card. Leave a couple of lights on in your house. Gee, that's all I have for now. Oh, get a list of what people want you to bring back

    1999 - Coronado Springs (1 night); 2003 - DL's Paradise Pier (5 nights); 2005 - All Star Music (7 nights); 2007 - POP Century (10 nights); 2008 - DL's Paradise Pier (5 nights); 2009 - POP Century (10 nights); 2010 - Dolphin (2 nights); 2011 - POP Century (7 nights); June 8-18, 2012 - POFQ (10 nights); next trip,June 18-22, 2013 - POFQ (5 nights). If I'm not at Walt Disney World or Disneyland, I'm not really happy.

Great thread-I feel exactly the same way! Worried that after literally months of planning, I'm gonna fail my final exam

One thing-if you have your Visa rewards card already, you can put the points on and it'll be automatic. And if you don't have the rewards card or if you forget to put them on , there's a place that can do it for you. I wanna say it's in DTD-but the info is definitely on the Visa Reward page.

Anymore tips out there...torn between that maniac "never gonna get it done" and the magical "gee, we are going to WDW" feeling

To DL or not to DL September 2010-that is the question....
