I have so many. But, one of the very first songs that I found made me cry, at a very young age,
'Honey' by Bobby Goldsboro.
Should we run a poll and see how many cry to that?
LOL Or how many have heard it?
"Whomsoever I've cured, I've sickened now. Whomsoever I've cradled, I've put you down. I'm a search light soul, they say, but I can't see it in the night. I'm only faking when I get it right...cause I Fell On Black Days...How would I know this could be my fate?"

'Honey' is an incredibly sad song
'Me and Bobbie Magee' always makes me cry,
as does 'Un-break My Heart'.
There are lots more (I'm a sap) I cant think of them right now. I'll come back later.

In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.
It doesn't affect me as much as it used to, but I still get a bit misty sometimes when I listen to "The Rising" by Bruce Springsteen.
"In my daughters eyes" by Martina McBride. Gets me every time!

THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE.........ARE NOT THINGS
"He Plays the Violin" from 1776. (How many, among those who have seen the show, realize that the final verse ["When Heaven calls to me . . ."] is a reference to Martha Jefferson's death at a young age?)
And for a while at least, in memory of Frankie Laine, "Blazing Saddles."
Oh, yes, and then there's a couple by Yip Harburg: "Look to the Rainbow" and "Over the Rainbow."

When Somebody Loved Me from Toy Story 2, Sung by Jessie
In My Daughter's Eyes by Martina McBride
My Little Girl by Tim McGraw...I'm seeing a theme here
Let me nominate "Ballad of the Green Berets," as sung by Sgt. Barry Sanders.
The last verse is the one.
"Put silver wings on my son's chest.
Make him one of America's best."
"It is, it is, a glorious thing, to be a Pirate King."
-- Gilbert & Sullivan, "Pirates of Penzance, or, The Slave of Duty"
"Forever Young" by Rod Stewart. Everytime I hear it I think of my two amazing little boys!
YEAH. I was at Disney On Ice a few years ago when they did that song and I started to cry. hahah.Originally Posted by raediance
I don't really have a certain song that makes me cry every time, it all really depends on my mood. I have albums that make me cry, though. If I listen to a Johnny Cash album all the way through I will usually end up crying. Especially the ones he made when he was older. What's Going On by Marvin Gaye makes me cry. I Got Dem Ol Kozmic Blues Again, Mama by Janis Joplin will do it.
Definitely "Honey..." especially when the music swells and the angels come...gets me every time!
Also: "Fireflies" (Faith Hill) and "Letters From Home" (John Michael Montgomery)
To all who come to this happy place...quit stepping on the back of my shoes!
One Tin Soldier (The Legend of Billy Jack) - any one remember that one?
Fast Car - Tracy Chapman
"it all started from a Daddy with two daughters, wondering where he could take them where he could have a little fun with them too." -- Walt Disney
"This is my family. I found it, all on my own. It's little, and broken, but still good. Yeah, still good." -- Stitch
Together Again, Janet Jackson.
Sarah, Jefferson starship
100 years, Five for Fighting
Anna Vissi - Everything
Ben Folds - Still
Chiara - Angel
Trisha Yearwood - The Blue Beyond
Adult Tod: We're still friends, right?
Adult Copper: Tod, those days are over. I'm a hunting dog now.
Oh, yeah! I even remember seeing an animated early "music video" of that song. I think it might have been on the Sonny & Cher show.Originally Posted by disney jones

Along with being "parkfreak", I am the BIGGEST crying freak!!
What songs make me cry? What songs DON'T make me cry?!?
My family and friends love to tease me about it, but that's OK, because it's true, I'm just a big sap.
My Sweetie says that all it takes is for the wind to blow to get me to tear-up. (He's pretty much right)
The complete list would be impossible to write here (or anywhere for that matter) but here are a few:
Candle on the Water (Rescuers)
Two Brothers (from the old Mr. Lincoln show at the Opera House at DL)
Circle of Life (Lion King)
Just One Dream (from Golden Dreams)
Reflections (Mulan)
Also, just about any song that has to do with love for your children, love for your sweetheart, or love for your country!
(I dare you to go to the flag retreat ceremony at DL & not get a little choked up.), But in a happy & thankful way!
<Laura>
But it's a dry heat.
Yeah, so is an oven!!!
Anna!! Sorry, but I got excited when I saw one of my favorite singers on here, Scamp. So many of her songs, mostly older ones, grip my heart and make me cry, but the only time *Everything* made me cry was when it didn't do better in Eurovision.Originally Posted by Scamp
Other songs that come to mind are Ave Maria, Amazing Grace, and Tears in Heaven (Eric Clapton), and the following songs written/performed by Melissa Etheridge: Christmas in America, Scarecrow, I Run for Life, Place Your Hand, Keep it Precious, The Letting Go, and my #1 all-time tearjerker, Watching You--that one gets me every time.
