What's the park like today? (11/2/06)

Weather?
Decorations? (are the big pumpkin faces still over the entrance?)

We are leaving tomorrow for DLR, but just can't wait.

Yesterday was fairly light, but that was a school day. Weekends tend to be busier.

Weather is nice, a bit cool, especially in the evening.

Most of the decorations were removed yesterday, the Pumpkin heads over the turnstiles were gone, and the CALIFORNIA letters were decorated with the Candy Cane design. Some decorations were left on part of Main Street to allow Television filming, they were supposed to be removed last night.

There seemed to be a lot of filming going on yesterday, does anyone know what it is for? Just to advertise Halloween?

I also notice some garland up in Frontier land.

I saw someone taking pictures of the Mickey flowerbed and thought it might be someone form here and was going to say hello, but I didnt JUST incase it was a normal person, I didnt want to scare them. IT is just taking pictures of the flowerbed day after Halloween in something we would do around here.

I was there around 11:30 AM taking photos (wearing a Knott's solace shirt and jeans), so it might have been me...

And I never have a problem with folks coming over and saying hi!

We just got back from our 7th day, it was OK. What I mean by that is, it's not as light as it had been 5-6 years ago, but not as busy as a Friday in the Fall either. We still walked onto most rides but there were a bit more people around.

Park opened at 10am and we were in shorts and a light weight t-shirt all day. We left at 5pm and it was starting to get chilly/cold.

I expect tomorrow to be way busier, we'll hit Disneyland early, then when it starts filling up, we'll go to California Adventure for awhile. Tomorrow is our last day. I think we have had our fill of Disney, we're all starting to drag. LOL!

WELL... today was the BEST DAY EVER!!! I posted about it on another thread, but a small recap, we got some cool trader pins AND were part of the Dancing with the Stars filming for Tuesday's show!

That gave us a bit of a boost we needed to get through today, but I was shocked that the park was pretty lite today. We waited for the filming from 10:30 until 12:30, then I guess it took maybe 30 minutes to film, then we walked on PoC and got fast passes for Splash (only a 30 minute turn around on Splash) We had some fries while waiting for our FP's to come up.

Then we watched the parade (is it the same parade from last year???) and then went over to CA, and WALKED on ToT and Screamin! I was shocked! I sent my family on Maliboomer and the orange, then my girls rode that Mohaland (sp?) madness, then we watched the end of the Block Party, caught 3 balls and left.

We never waited in line for ANYTHING all day!! It was a great last day when I was prepared for a horrible one.
