When are California schools on Spring Break?

I am trying to plan a spring trip and I was wondering when California schools have their spring break. Thanks!

Most will be off one of the 2 weeks between April 1 and 15.

    Winter break: Feb 19th+
    Spring break: April 16th+

this is northern CA Cupertino school district.

I went last year in Feb. It was crowded but not horrible
I will not go in April, but am planning a trip in May

    hope this helps

    Which School, which Grade Level...

If you look at Disney's operating hours for the DLR, most of March has extended hours due to the fact that many schools across the nation take breaks no longer based on Easter Sunday.

Disney still treats the week before and the week after Easter Sunday as "Peak Easter Break", but the 4 weeks before "Peak" get extended hours due to the larger crowds.

Check this thread from a few months ago. Wide variance in when schools are off.

Thanks everyone, that info is very helpful. Right now I am looking at mid-March to coincide with AZ's spring break. I'll take a look at the hours and hotel availability and decide from there.
