Woo Hoo! Just when I thought I'd be Jonesin' forever!

Dh told me to plan a quick trip for just the two of us to celebrate our 10 year anniversary!

I've found a great date to go, an awesome deal on 2-day park hoppers through a convention site, and even got Entertainment Rates at the HoJo! Now, just need to find a smokin deal on airfare and we're set!!!

I'm so excited I get to go before the Matterhorn or Screamin is closed down!

Now, I just need to get over the fact that we have to leave my 3 kids behind. I am starting a list of things to do that I have never been able to do b/c of the kids (i.e., The Disney Gallery, go into every single shop in Main Street, etc.)

    Thanks for letting me share!

A suggestion: Make your reservations for the Blue Bayou or Caf Orleans thru Disney Dining right now. 714/781-3463.

EDIT: Or any other restaurant there. Sorry, I went to Caf Orleans last Friday and enjoyed the food. And I'm going to BB this Sunday. So I've just got these two places on the brain.

You might want to check southwest. They have some deals from the LA/OC area right now that could get you some tickets to one of the many airports (LAX, BUR, ONT, SNA)

Hey! I have a good idea of how you can get over leaving your kids behind...make a list of things you've never done because of the kids!

Seriously, that is SO kewl!! Yay!! Be sure to add to your list of store visits a peek inside Jewel of Orleans. It's fun to look because it's so unique, and because even if you can't buy anything, they treat you like you will. (Last time we stopped in, they addressed my 10-year-old and even gave her a business card. Total class act!) Also go in everywhere they sell glass! (Just because you can!)

Can you sneak in some Christmas shopping for the kidlets? That might help if you start to miss them.

When you ride the roller coasters, do it with your hands up, because you're probably usually holding onto a little one. Now's your chance!

Late last year, a mommy-pal of mine and I took a secret trip to Disneyland for Christmas shopping, and managed to squeeze in a few rides while we were there. Although I felt a little bit guilty being there without my daughter, it was really a fun day and I hope we get to do it again this year!

Have an awesome time, and a very happy anniversary!
To all who come to this happy place...quit stepping on the back of my shoes!

That's great Dangermouse! I got similar news. We are invited to a "Adult only Wedding" in Garden Grove next month. Since we have AP's this year we decided to go a day early and do a day at Disneyland! I agree it's going to be a bit strange without the kids. This is our 1st trip without the kids since we've been married! For the 1st time I am going to use hotwire, since we don't need a suite for the family.

If you don't mind will you share you list of things to do without kids. I haven't been able to come up with much, but Christmas shopping and Disney Gallery are great idea's. We are just so excited that we can go on some rides TOGETHER! Enjoy and Have fun!

DH and I are escaping for 5 days to DL without the kids. I can't believe I'm going to leave them behind. For starters we've booked a hotel room with a kingsize bed. Plus a tour "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" - it's not really recommended for kids. We're planning on closing the park down each night - who needs sleep. Plus, going to Pirates of the Caribbean in Downtown Disney. Plus visiting the Dept. 56 store and not worrying what the kids are touching. Hope you have as much fun as us.

Happy Anniversary! We celebrated our tenth year at DL last year! (And we honeymooned at DL!! My hubby grouse about calling it a special trip since we go to DL multiple times every year!!)

Some suggestions that I like to do without the kids--most involve slowing down and not rushing to see the next character or ride the next ride!!

--Buy a pastry and coffee and sit 'n' sip on the front porch on Main Street and people watch.

--Eat breakfast on the terrace at the Riverbelle and people watch. Also, order Mickey Mouse pancakes and not have to share! Or have to eat someone else's raisins eyes!

--Order a top shelf margarita at the Cove Bar and share the lobster nachos with your honey! Or, eat at the Vineyard Room and have a salad that doesn't have iceberg in it!!

--Get a pitcher of beer at ESPN and just sit and veg.

--Take advantage of the nightlife at DTD. Check out who is playing at the House of Blues and get tickets. Have appetizers and drinks at the Catal Bar. Stay out reeeeallllyyy late at DTD enjoying the music and people!

--Oh, almost forgot the best part---travel light!! No need to carry anything more than what YOU will need during the day!

Have fun! And, I always buy a little gift a day for my little ones. Keeps me a little connected and helps minimize the mommy guilt of being in DL w/o them.

Hey I have one. Go the bar over the lagoon at Ariel's Grotto at sunset. Order a margarita and enjoy each other. I have found my DH most enchanting without the kids. (If you know what I mean.)

Another thing that is cool with no kids is the Fantasmic VIP balcony seating. Enjoy a drink and some tasty cookies, cakes and pastries with a great view of Fantasmic.

we spent our five year anniversary at DL without kiddos...it was GREAT!

we didn't have to do the kiddy rides unless WE wanted to (our boys are 2 & 4 years old), we did a couple of tours - fantasmic balcony seating. We also had a room with JUST a KING bed...it was VERY nice. We got to play eachother on Buzz!! We got to go on every ride TOGETHER!! We had lunch at the Blue Bayou almost EVERY day and sat by the water.

There were times we missed the boys - (we had been there with them just a month and a half earlier) and we kept saying..."remember when Elijah did..." and we laughed and had a great time.

I can't wait to take the boys back to DL -- but my next trip is JUST ME - no kids, no husband...now THAT will be FUN!!
