Mulan a Disney princess?
Ive been shopping around the Disney store and found that Mulan has been portrayed a few times as a disney princess. Am I mistaken or wasent a Mulan a maiden? And married Shang? Who was not a king or a prince? Can anyone clear this up for me? Im not attacking Mulan I love the movie and think shes fit to be a princess but, was she actually one?

She's not. Of course, according to Disney merchandising (who couldn't be bothered with such details), she's a princess along with Tinkerbell and Belle.
Yeah, that's right, I said it. Belle is NOT a princess. Bring it

To quote Cruella DeVil, "You tell Ding Dong that I said 'no ring, no princess.'"

It bugged me in Kingdom Hearts how they said Alice was a princess.

Bwahahaha, ChipmunkStar! You really made me LOL.
Princess or not, Mulan is our favorite female Disney character.

Wandering lonely as a cloud...
Last year, one morning while going into the MK, a very nice older man who was the security bag checker said, "Have a nice day princess".
I liked it.
And I do know that I am not really a princess.
Kind of like Mulan?....not raised as a princess, but deserving...

I think it's easier for Disney to bunch all of the heroines under the banner of princess than having to come up with a different word to put on t-shirts.

nd imaine if someone got a hold of an unauthorized (and thus misspelled) copy...
I don't think Disney wants people modeling themselves after it's latest "Heroin"s.....

So maybe she's not a princess but she's still a Disney Diva!

I always thought Eric was a Princess...ah...I mean...Prince.
Heck...Mulan was more of a Prince than Eric. At least for most of her film.

I saw a piece of merchandise that called Tinker Bell a princess once.

Yes, but Ariel is a princess on her own, since her Father is a King!
And did Belle get married?

Good question...
and why in the parks is her beau still a beast when in the movie he turns back into a very handsome prince?
Did he get turned back into a critter while we weren't looking?

Mulan should have the title of Warior Princess.
A cute Mulan story. A few summers ago we saw Mulan in DL . She didn't have a crowd around her so we went up to say hi. She was very lovely and dressed in her pretty gown. She noticed Zero's pirate sword (Zero always goes armed in DL) and said, "I like your sword. I have a sword too but I don't have it with me today because I have to wear this dress . Too bad. We could have fought each other and that would have been fun." She even had Mulan's voice .

Maybe she,er, likes him better that way. Best not to think about it too much.

But she changed species (Transatlantica?). So I believe she forfeited her title under that deal. Good thing she immediately hooked up with an air-breathing Prince. Even if it was one that was hesitant to "kiss the girl."

Perhaps when he changed into the Prince, he became more attracted to Eric? So Belle had him changed back?
What's with that whole "pretty boy" Prince thing anyway? Many of those Prince guys look a little light in the loafers to me. My honey hates most of them. She liked Aladdin, though. Said he looked and acted "like he had half a brain, some moxie, and walked in a straight line."
And handsome? I remember when we first saw Beauty and the Beast at a screening, and when the Beast turned into the Prince, she turned to her friend and said, "Ugh. Bring back the Beast!"

I have thought that at nearly every version of Beauty And The Beast I've seen. The exception was George C Scott as the Beast in a TV version for the Hallmark Hall Of Fame.

I don't believe that Belle is married. Let's look at the facts: At the end of the film, we only see Belle and her Prince (unnofficially named Vincent, but not official) dancing among a crowd of onlookers. Generally, you would assume they were married, however didn't we all think the same of Aladdin and Princess Jasmine? But ooooooooooh no! It took them a TV series and 2 direct to video sequels before they had a wedding.
Therefore, we can see that Belle simply is NOT a princess! And don't even get me started on her Prince.... I agree with everyone who says "Bring back the Beast!" Which they did
until Cinderellabration.... Darn them...

I believe that when the parade of dreams started at DL for the 50th that the beast was a person but they ended up changing him to a beast. The guest just like him better that way.
