Disney counsels schools - The Orlando Sentinal, 4/25/02

The Orange County (Florida) school district has turned to Disney for help in better maintaining its facilities.

QuikQuote: "Superintendent Ron Blocker asked Disney for help with its school maintenance two months ago. He has been trying to show that the school district would responsibly spend the $2 billion it would raise if voters approve a September referendum to increase the sales tax."

Overall, Disney's loan of Kivler and other executives has resulted in a warm relationship between a school district striving to be more accountable and a company that recently has been criticized for not contributing to Central Florida's welfare."
